Morning peeps!

Snags, Maz said outloud what I wanted to say yesterday but stopped short of saying. Parental leave now has got to be better than a parent who has had a nervous breakdown from the stress of trying to arrange childcare...

I am off to work again.......nothing new there then!

Louise, are your OH's company still making other people redundant then, just not your OH...if so it may be worth asking what the criteria for picking staff are...It may not be okay for them to make other people redundant when someone has offered to be made redundant. IYSWIM

Morning all.

Had a bit of a stressfull day yesterday. I had to take Mum for a second breast scan at the hospital.

They have found a very small lump, but the Dr doesn't think it's anything serious, but has taken a sample just in case. We will get the results in about 10 days.

They are going to be very long days. I think I'm more worried about it that Mum is. Although she said the Dr is 75% sure it'll be fine.

And now I appear to have woken up stupidly early, and I have a cold!!

So today is all about calling the bank and getting in my claim for my loan and cc, then a bit more job hunting.

Morning all - No work for me today! Need to get an Amazon Sale posted but apart from that nothing doing except housework. My OU stuff come yesterday so will have fun looking through that!

Lucy - sorry about the jobs, Im sure your mum will be fine, what a horrible wait though.

Sammy in answer to your question about my OH, yes they are making other people redundant, apparantly he has skills that they dont, they all had to have their skills assessed in a "point scoring" exercise, which was a complete farce:rolleyes:

At least he has a job I suppose, he has decided to work to rule, I said good for him although he has gone in this morning really downbeat:o

I am looking forward to the weekend and OH and I are off on a mini cruise for the weekend to Amsterdam:j

Now sat here in complete panic as I am trying to find all my documention for my loan and cc insurance....

I can't find my loan account number, and I can see a policy number on anything for either loan or cc!!!!!!

I'm going to call and hope they can find me anyway!

Good morning

My computer at home showed me the blue screen of death yesterday so Wayne carried it to the car and we've taken it to the repair shop. It just won't boot up so I'm without a pc at home (well I've the old one but it won't connect to broadband). Would it be wrong to buy a laptop so I don't get withdrawal symptoms?

Anyway, I went swimming last night (first time in six weeks) and managed 16 lengths. Hope to go again on Wednesday and do 18 and just build it up until I'm doing 40-50 a time!

Lucy - Hope it's good news for your mum and good luck with the insurance peeps for your loan and CC.
Lou - at least he still has a job but I can understand how depressed he'd be to be turned down for voluntary redundancy when others are made forcibly redundant. Enjoy your cruise to Amsterdam - went years ago with P&O ferries and had a blast... haven't dared get on a ferry to Amsterdam since:o!

Ok loan claim is in... just got to wait for the paper work, and I have to go to the job centre today.

Ok all done...

I didn't need a policy number and I was completely stressed for no reason!!!

I just need to wait for all my paperwork and then face the old employer to get everything sign so I can put my claim in.

Oh the joy and the indignity of it all.

And to top it, because I couldn't find my paperwork I have turned the bedroom into a pig sty and there is stuff everywhere!!! I am tempted to make it safe and then hit the job centre before come back and clearing it all up. With a bin bag and an eye for ebay!!

But I think I deserve a pat on the back for actually getting it all done before 9.30 am... but why do these places always say open at 8 and yet when you ring them they open at 9???

Morning all, Just a quick hello before I dash off to another hellish day at work-was sooo tired last night, I read the thread last night and then fell asleep but suffice to say, Im sure not one of us will be glad to see the back of 2008 eh?
