    Quick scenario.....

Joe Bloggs has a VISA and mastercard. Is it possible for Joe Bloggs to book a room with one card but Mrs Bloggs to book a room with the second card at the same time? Would they decide if you have 2 rooms by the name on the reservation or by the name on the card?

by past experiences, Joe and Jane will be extremely lucky to even book a single one.
and yes they *might* cancel both is the booking is in same name despite being on separate cards.

Hi Blindman, thanks for your reply, sorry I think ive been a bit confusing. What I meant was, is there a page on the Hoxton Hotels website that brings up that page, rather than using the link, going onto the official site and finding that page -thats what im after -thanks hope that makes sense Im assuming the link must come from the official website

No it is not on their web-site.

They switched to the awful "flash" page that you see (pretty colours, but very slow...)

Without explaining how a web-server works  The Html link works fine for the promotion. (Well it has done for the last 5 or 6 ).
Either paste it into the URL bar or add it as a favourite.

Don't forget Blindman's HTML link from the previous thread: https://reservations.ihotelier.com/crs/step1.cfm?hotelid=13279&languageid=1

This is often quicker than booking the conventional way. A few of us got scuppered last time as you had to click 'promotional rates' to see the £1 rooms, but they seem to have removed this.

once you click the i agree button, do you then have to be super quick to type in your details or is your request reserved while you are typing them in? for instance, on ticketmaster, once you add tickets to your basket you then have a certain amount of time to confirm them before they are lost

I'd expect it to be by the name on the booking so possibly the card.

There doesn't appear to be a restriction on two bookings at the same address, e.g. if she had a card in her name, it would be two separate people making two separate £1 bookings. This isn't clear though, can anyone shed some light on this?

I type my credit card number into Notepad and then copy it - that way I can just CTRL-V it into the required space.

I think trying to get 2 nights is definitely not within the spirit of the terms of this offer! There are enough people trying to get just the one night, so please just play fair guys, & give everyone a chance.

Does anyone know if you can use a debit card to book rooms?
I have a Visa debit and on the card options there is a Visa option but it does say type of credit card and in the FAQ's it says:
'What do I do if I need to book using a debit card?
You can pay by debit card over the phone but this is the only option for this type of booking. '

Do you think they'll just class a Visa as a Visa or not?

  • Any cards quicker than others?
I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!
