The dates available for booking a £1 room are 1st November 2008 – 31st January 2009.xxlaurissaxx wrote: »This will be my first time so sorry for the obvious questions, but are there certain dates that can be booked eg. 1st Nov to 1st Dec? You can book a second night but not at the £1 rate (last time a second night was offered for just £29, not sure that will happen this time though).0 -

As it says in the first post the dates are 1st November 2008 – 31st January 2009 - obviously fri/sat are the most popular but have previously gotten a sunday and a monday when required.
As for booking more than one room it does say all your bookings will be cancelled - I guess there are a few ways around this ie if you and a friend book different rooms etc but I;ve only ever booked the one at a time and the peopl on the desk always know how much I've paid as the comment on how I've managed to get the rate before etc.2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0 -

Its near to Old Street Station on the Northern and Bakerloo line we used when sightseeing and didn't take long to get to places. I think the hotel is very nice and considering the breakfast is more than what I've paid for the room you cant complain (imo)!!2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0 -
It's chic and swanky! My daughter loved it! They did forget her dinner in the restaurant though but by way of an apology she and her mate got a complete 3 course meal and champagne absolutely free!! They had a fab night and it cost them just £1 :-)0

I doubt it- but call the hotel if you want to know. We're looking for a hotel in london for 31st Oct! :@. If we checked 1 minute after midnight then techincally it would be the 1st, could that be possible? We want to sleep between 6am and 2pm after a night out.
As for what thehotel is like- I love it. I had come up from Old Street before, but realised last time that it isn't far at all from Liverpool Street if you are walking- and less hassled than the underground. Check it out on a map- I tried to post a link but it wouldn't work. If you put walking into the options on google maps directions you will see what I mean.
Its worth considering booking a second night for £29 if you get a £1 room- you have to be quick with those too, but I did that last time and so it was 2 nights for £30. Usually what happens is the site crashes and people are on here moaning that it didn't work and was a con etc etc- but with a bit of perseverance, preparation and a bit of luck you can beat the crowds.0 -

Have managed a couple of these rooms at £1 before so fingers cross for this time
Do you have to pay at the point of booking? Or is it like the LHW you pay on arrival?0
