  • :beer:Well done Amanda!!!!getting bookings into Jan, is a fab result, as this will get your new year off to a great start and should be a good 2010 for you.

In Scotland Jan & July are our 2 bad months so getting bookings into them are hard work but PartyLite really are fab at helping us get bookings by having IMHO the best Hostess incentive scheme and then over and above that they give us extra for difficult months - How lucky are we?????

If anyone doesn't have any bookings at the moment then they should be doing xmas fayres - there are loads of them around look on stallfinders, gumtree, local netmums etc and IMO the school fayres are the best because most people feel obliged to go to their school fayre and as long as you approach people with the candle survey like candlerus said then you should have a productive day.

I wrap a few tealights and/or votives in clear florist wrap and sell them off so I can make my money back for the table as you don't always get lots of sales, or why not raffle off an item you know will be going out of your kit.

Another thing you could be doing is most defo a mystery hostess night - these are great fun and give your guests lots of ways of getting tickets to win the hostess commission, and if you plan it properly by inviting plenyt of people and also making it a grand event, you should get plenty of orders and contacts.

I love my job with partyLite and can't imagine many more jobs out there which are as fun as ours while also being very fullfilled in many different ways.
    I get paid to party!:rotfl:
  • As candlegirl said , if you can wrap some tealights up in florest wrap and sell them at the stall , We wrap ours up in packs of 6 as we find that many people want to buy some , but this way they can have two scents for the price of one scent if they buy 2 packs. One of our team sells Tealights like pic and mix sweets, 50p each mix and match. We also buy in loads of guest specials from previous months as they work out so cheap . At the moment we have a huge stack of lavender teddies that we bought for £4.95 , but earnt on them as well as getting the commision for october at 15% , works out they only cost us less than £3 each ...bargain!! . Sell these and other Items at a fair and any "retired" items and you are quids in
At this time of year at events people like to take away somthing as a present , rather than wait for an item to be ordered and delivered.

Love the pic and mix idea! I love this job especially how we all offer each other ideas, support and the great promotions from PL :j

We only really succeed in this business by making other people successful and sharing our ideas. One thing I love more than anyhing else is to see other people doing well and achieving , especially when they are going up for recognition like at conference. It really makes the job worthwhile.

I had the bext fayre ever today. About £300 sales and 2 bookings - before hand I had let all my customers that I have email addresses for or mobile numbers for know that I'd be there with my sale and current items which definitely helped. Very pleased but exhausted...lol..

It did help my sales and hopefully they enjoyed the other items for sale too!! I swapped a couple of my products for a beautiful jewellery set. I've done the swaps a few times now - great way to do shopping too!!!:T

Thats an amazing Idea Donna :T Hadn't thought of this one , in the next news letter that I email out I will let them know about all the events I will be attending until Christmas. I know other stall holders from other companies do this on their personal websites. Maybe we could all lobby Sandra Whittle and persuade her to let us have our own website like they do in the U.S . Over there you can go direct to the consultants web page and view the online catalogue and place orders , along with "internet" specials , available only online

I agree as vie at home and creative memories can do this and I think we're missing out, also the other party plan companies seem to have official pages on facebook. Sometimes, I feel we need to get with it a bit more!! Lol..
