  • Just had a really rowdy party and completely lost my nerve ... I kept being overtalked and all my games were ruined :( ouch! Sold £150, which wasn't too bad for bottling my 2nd show, but no bookings!

Everyone gets these kind of shows, but what you need to do, is either get the hostess to calm them down as its her night or find the noisest one and use her to help you, I find the 2nd one works the best I get hold of her and ask her to be my assistant as she looks and sounds very capable, this then gets her on your side and I get her to help with the game etc, and you will find she keeps them in place.:D

  • I agree with candlegirl . Get the hostess to help you. I get a lot of banter going on as being a male consultant I often get a lot of sexual innuendos ( usually when I talk about pillars and different sizes you can get) but I usually laugh it off and try not to get distracted or use it to my advantage ( helps build the relationship ).

Xmas stall events are completely different to having a party.

Most of the time you don't get many sales, but you use this opportunity tot alk to people and get them to fill in a candle survey which will get you contact details for people who are up for a party or for the job.

Take your kit along to show people, but make sure you are up for approaching people and talking to them.

What do i put on the survey? or do you have a template i could look at?

    Thanks
