Sounds Good Amanda , but offer the consultant opportunity too( you could combine it with a "take a look at PartyLite" and get a starter kit there) and I would suggest you advertise the event on Netmums, Gum tree , facebook , local shops etc0 -
candlesrus wrote: »I'm sorry you feel this way Liz . PartyLite is like a roller coaster , and i'm sure the others will agree . One min you are up ( for example getting bookings or meeting a personal goal ) and the next min your down ( partys getting cancelled and people saying no to parties) . The reality is that it is very hard work and for every 10 dissapointments there can sometimes only be a few success's . When we first started this business I remember we had 12 parties booked into Jan 2008 and the previous three months had been a struggle . Every one of those partys cancelled , and it would have been so easy to give up . In February we decided to relaunch the business and it payed off . Having said that each week there can be several "downs" e.g parties cancelled even now . We just accept that it is part of the business. We commited to working on the business every day . A bit like a game of golf really , the more shots you play , the more likely you are to get a hole in one . Remember you never fail at somthing unless you give up .
Can i suggest you write down a list of things that are holding you back and work out ways to tackle those first . The products are great , after all you liked them enough to join as a consultant , and many many other people will feel the same way ( just not the people you have spoken to )
You are the ticket ....Hostess's buy people , not just the products , after all they will be inviting you into their home to sell . Try and remain positive and 100% behind the product , and remember you are doing the hostess a favour by offering them the chance to get free product . They arn't doing you a favour . If you come accross as desperate they wont book .
Get yourself a diary and fill it in with names and tell them you are so snowed under you might not be able to fit them in if they don't book and they will miss out ( you will be amazed at what difference that makes )
Surround yourself with positive people . Maybe come to one of the meetings in Gloucester and be energised ( if you need transport I can help you with that) , and shrug off all those negative comments about it never going to make you money ( unfortunately partners can be the worst offenders!!!) . Set yourself a goal and go for it!!!
I think you've hit the nail on the head there - I'm not the person to be doing this. Training doesn't work for me - I just get home and lose enthusiasm. TBH, my priorities have changed recently and whilst I like the products, I really don't think it's the right thing for me anymore.0 -

Sounds like you have made your mind up . Good Luck Liz with whatever you decide is right for you . I wish you all the best for the future . The option is always open to give it another shot in the future and at least you have some lovely products to scent your home. You may find other opportunities suit you better . Have a look at www.comparextraincome.com and see if anything appeals to you0 -

I really like that idea, Thanks,
Amanda I love the iddea of hosting a party in the "local", mine does events etc but I'd never thought about doing partylite there.... soooo guess I'm off to the pub later today, <any excuse!>
Has gone to play on her own little world for a bit..... but its ok the voices in her head came too so she's not alone0 -
My "manager" appeared on my doorstep saying that they werent putting my orders through because they weren't enough. They also weren't going to invest a starter kit in me if I couldn't give them sale (which btw I could! I had 2 other parties booked) So in other words sacked.
Cheeky - I have PM'd you
OMG - that's awful, You should have never been treated like that. I dread to think who your upline leader is/was.Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680 -

Dont panic, the people that arent coming, give them a catalogue to place and outside order and ask them to book a party to help you out instead. Invite every single person you can possibly think of to invite, use the invitations in your pack to invite neighbours etc, if you have kids at school give them out to other parents.
When is your starter party, I only had two at mine and did ok in the end....Im still going strong and getting there....it can be done0 -

Firstly phone the people who have confirmed and ask them to bring along a guest with them
Get using your candle pool as this can also add to your order.
Just keep asking everyone you know and ask them to ask bring a guest.
Then take a deep breath and relax  it will all work out fine.I get paid to party!:rotfl:0
