Candlegirl , have you been to any of the big shows? I find they cost a lot more but attract loads more people so we split the costs between the team , then do a stint each or in pairs. Its great for training and team building , and any leads we get are split equally. A few days after the event we have a get together and do a phone party! You get such a buzz when one of your team members gets a party booked , and others in the team can see that it is worthwhile doing these events.
I have done a couple of medium events but have quite a few lager events coming up over the next few months and a few of us are splitting the costs
We meet together regulary to chin wig and sort out things but we have never had a phone party hat sounds a fab idea:T thanx for that we will try that next time.

Hi Grandma :D I have had a few ideas since I made this post and am looking forward to some training. Had a good party last week (£116 in sales, biggest yet, yay) and possibly may have some bookings, got a gift fair booked in November and loads of letters and emails to send out soon. So hopefully it'll pick up now

If I need any help I'll ask as loads of people on here have been really helpful.
well done - you have a fab leader and I know she will help you any way she can, and it just takes time and effort and you will come around good.

the only way is keep going up!:D

  • Hi all! I've just held my starter show (£298 sales - yay!) and am now looking for more ways of drumming up business...seen an advert for a pamper show thing and was contemplating taking a table there - do you think they're worthwhile? x

Definitely as long as you either a door prize slip or guest survey. That way you can collect potential customers for ring back opportunities.

Hi , regarding the pamper evening , when you contact them from your prize draw slips or door prize cards , dont be disheartened if they say no to a party initially , just ring them later on in the year ( when the customer says they want you to contact them -ask them what month ) and keep doing this and eventually they may book a party. Some do say no , but others do say yes
Some pamper evenings you may go away from feeling that you haven't got much out of , but just one party booked either on the day or via a phonecall can lead you to a whole new circle of people who have parties.

Try to make eye contact , and initiate conversation , maybe ask them if they have heard of partylite and explain a little about the products( but dont over do it ) . If they mention anything about themselves , jot it down on the prize draw slip , so when you ring them it helps you remember who they are , and helps you build up a raport over the phone.

Good luck and I hope it goes well for you

Hi, im looking to start party plan for partylite (i love the products but atm cani afford them =( ) Im going to sign up through my friend so that she gets the commision for it.

I see from this thread that a lot of people have made decent sales on their parties. Is it realistic to expect decent sales from every one? Do you need to just sell through parties or can you do it online etc? Are you pressured ti have loads of parties? And finally how much paperwork is there? I have a 12 week old baby so need minimal paperwork lol.

Is your friend already a consultant then? As you will need to join up through an existing consultant or leader, if she is can I suggest you speak with her about your plans to join, she will know exactly how it will fit in with your lifestyle as I wont lie it isnt for everyone.

With any partyplan business you will only get out what you put in, the more you put into the business the more likely to succeed you will be. It isnt always easy but with determination it can be done.

You wont do well at every party, it all depends on the crowd. You can only sell through parties, we are not allowed to sell on websites such as ebay and you will be dismissed for it, you can also sell to repeat customers etc. You can do as few or as many parties as you can. Paperwork I dont think there is much, but I do have a room for Partylite stuff as it can take over lol. All ordering can be done on the internet.

Yeah shes a consultant and loves it. Has made £400 profit over 3 parties.

Ive got the drive to do it, just with college, a baby, a part time babysitting job and a house to run im wondering if i would manage it. If anything it would get me out the house and talking to adults rather than babies lol.
  • That is a very very good profit for 3 parties. If she is only a consultant that would mean that she sold £2000 over three parties an average of £666 - not impossible but pretty amazing. My highest party so far has been £450. The average party is £250 ish I believe. Please do not think you will make the same as your friend at every party this will not normally be the case, I would hate for you to become disappointed down the line if this is not achieved. I wish you the best of luck - Im sure you will do fab

For many new PartyLite consultants , the best bit is gaining confidence , getting out the house and working hours to suit around your own needs. As said before , don't be mislead that high earnings are easily achieved. To be successful , like any new buisiness you get out what you put in. I would advise asking your friend if you can come along to her next party to see what she does . Then you can decide if it's for you or not. There is no pressure to work a set number of parties , but you do need to be doing enough to make it worth your while. Good luck whatever you decide to do.
