It took me some time to get into the routine - but now I easily spend less than £1 on lunch. We have a microwave at work, so leftovers works a treat, as do home made soups during Winter time! Making lunch at home means being a bit more organised, but at least it leaves more money in the pocket!0

I normally spend about £2 on lunch - i tend to take my own lunch to Uni but need to buy a couple of cups of tea now the weathers getting cold!0

I spend less than £1 a day as I make my own lunch at home and take to work. This can be a bit boring. Any good ideas on sandwich fillings ?0

I probably spend approx £4.00 a day by the time ive done!already thinking i need to do packed lunches.:rotfl:0

If I stay in the office, my lunch is approximately -£1.00 to -£1.70. The minus signs are deliberate!
I get a lunch allowance from my company to spend on food in their canteen. Because the food is awful, I don't use much of the allowance on myself and instead use up the remainder on cans of soft drink and crisps which I take home for my OH to take to work.
He gets free drinks and crisps from me, which subsidises the cost of his lunch a bit, but he spends a further £2.00 on sandwiches when he can't be bothered to make any the night before.
If I go out for lunch, it normally costs me £8.00 to £10.00, but I don't do this very often. All in all, the two of us don't do too badly.0 -
On average about 50p per day here (always take pack lunch) - make my own bread, own cakes and take a piece of fruit.
If we have lunch out, then I make sure my boss always pays !:rotfl:

I've Got 2 Kids Who Love Yoghurt; So Lunch For Us Is Usually Pretty Cheap - I Would Think About £2 Or£3 For 3 Days!
I Buy The Kids Cheap Yoghurts Nowadays Rather Than Thomas Or Other Character Ones.0 -
Great stuff! Always going on at my housemate about not wasting and throwing away food - I am forever eating her left overs or food past its best before date!
I make lunch everyday so if I make it from her leftovers its free! Normally though I eat some of last nights dinner for lunch or just make a sandwich so I'd estimate its only about a £1 a day. Take free bottles of water in to drink and have a piece of fruit and a cereal bar - all bought in bulk from the supermarket!0 -
I spend an average of around £0.85 on lunch daily. Includes apple from the garden, left over meat from sunday's roast or, during week, boiled bacon or banana sandwich if bruised bananas on giveawaway price at supermarket.0

This sounds fab!
I've pretty much always taken a packed lunch to work and reckon it costs about £1.50.
Normally a salad or jacket potato with filling as sandwiches at lunchtime make me (even more) sleepy! Sometimes leftover pasta, chilli etc from last night's dinner. Also loads of fruit to snack on - to keep the lure of the tuck box at bay!
Sometimes treat myself to a bacon roll from the van which costs all of £1.50, but that's only in extreme hangover situations!
Luckily we get free tea here (I don't really drink coffee, so avoid spending ££££ on take out lattes etc) and we also sometimes have leftover goodies from meetings etc - so there can be such thing as a free lunch!0
