  • I dont spend anything and just grab last nights left overs out the fridge
  • I make my own lunch, so averaged across the week I would say I don't spend more than about £1.25 per day.

School dinners currently cost £1.80 per day each for the kids.

  • Hello,

I work in London, so the opportunity to have a cheap lunch is never easy!
I am working smarter on this (using the Boots lunch deal etc.) so, on average, I spend £3.50 per day on lunch!!!
Maybe the smartest way is to bring lunch from home!
  • On days when I manage to be organised enough to take my own lunch, it's probably around £1 maximum, though it's often just leftovers from teh day before - so maybe doesn't count!. When I have to get something here, I tend to nip to the shops and buy enough to do me two or three days.... so it works out about £1.50 - £2. :D

Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!

How do you amass £70k in a year?!
  • My lovely mum usuall makes my lunch for me so it doesnt cost me anything (well I do pay housekeeping!) But on the days I do buy lunch its costs about £3.50
  • I used to spend sometimes £8 a day on lunch at Waitrose or M and S. Now I make my own the night before for less than £1 a day, and enjoy it just as much - perhaps even more so as I am saving ££££ a week. My fave filling? tinned salmon from Lidl @ 80p for a large tin = 4 lots of sandwiches!

Averaged over the whole week, I would say about £1.50 to £2 per day per person in my family
  • I spend about £1 or less as I eat at home

    Jane
  • home made bread, which cuts cost of bread, so I would guess in region of 70p
