I spend an average of around £1.60 a day but sometimes I miss lunch completely... as I weigh 22st+ I can afford to do this!!!0

I spend about 63.3p per day on a healthy lunch.
Home made sandwich: 2 slices wholemeal 6.1p; portion of ham 12.5p; low fat spread 2p; low fat cheese 6.7p; lettuce 6p; banana about 30p. A very healthy lunch without grotty cheapo products - just carefully purchased ones looking out for offers.
Lunch box kit would be very handy!0 -
I think I spend about £4 per day on lunches for my family (husband, 2 boys and me), sometimes less if careful.
would love to get hold of this stuff!

I buy lunch each day from a visiting sandwich van. I work on an industrial estate and have to drive 5 miles otherwise to a supermarket to buy a sandwich. The van has a fab selection of baguettes etc, and hot food like pies, pizza and jacket spuds.
I usually buy a sandwich, some fruit and chocolate, and it costs about £3.50 per day. Up to £5 if I am stressed!0 -

I spend about £1.00 on lunch each day. I make a big batch of soup on the weekend and freeze it. I then bring it to work and heat it in the microwave. Doing it this way means that it doesn't leak in my bag on the way to work. I pop in to the local bakery and buy a fresh wholewheat roll to go with it.
But Friday is a pint at the pub day. And then back to the office for soup...0 -
My lunch costs are about £1.50 a day because I take my own from home as at least I know what's in it. Good luck everybody.0

I take a salad for lunch using lettuce from my garden (although not much left now summer's over!) & all sorts of other veg, + a couple of pieces of fruit, so it probably costs well less that £1 a day. In winter I make soup from left over veg, cook them in the pressure cooker, add a couple of tins of tomatoes & blitz it. Then I bag it in portions & freeze, getting one out every day.0
