Until recently I was spending £4-£6 a day until I started bringing packed lunches, now it's always under £1!

  • Thanks to the demotivating tool I make my own, but the uni canteen smells so good-I think I might need the excitement of a new lunch box to deter me ;-D
  • Not 100% sure as make my lunch - mainly salads and you and fruit and hot cross bun ect so all the little bits must add up but i think that it works out much less expensive than bying pre made luch - and it's better as i know exactly what has gone into it and can make whatever i fancy that day! :T
  • I spend an average of £1.50 on lunch each day.

If I am motivated to make my own then whatever is lurking in the fridge is taken, if not then £2.50 at the "butty van"
  • I spend £2.00 on lunch.
  • I spend about £2 - on a good day

Probably around 50p each on OH and myself.

    Usually it is:

HM soup (around 15-20p per portion),
2 slices of HM bread (loaf costs about 50p to make and we get 16 slices - about 7p), some stewed fruit or HM jam (currently free cooking apples or blackberries) with HM yoghurt (about 5p)
plus a banana and apple (around 20p for the two)
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
  • Probably about £3
