If a loaf of bread costs £1.50, and I use 2 slices out of 20, that is 15p. I would use a scrape of butter and mayo at, erm, 20p? Few slices of ham at 30p. Packet of crisps, at 30p, cereal bar at 30p, yoghurt at 40p, cupasoup from Lidls at about 15p...
Oh, and a can of pepsi from Lidl at 25p.
Total of approx £1.75 a day.

As another SAHM I eat up the leftovers usually, but occasionally have the same sandwiches as OH and the kids. I reckon around £1.00 per person per day with the extra bits like homemade brownies etc.
OH does also quite often add a pie from the local pie shop, but being northern pies they are tasty,filling and only £1

When I buy lunch in the canteen at work I spend around £2 but most of the time take a packed lunch which comes in a lot cheaper and healthier!!Light Bulb Moment 01 May 20070

Working @ the Airport food prices are skyhigh (excuse pun!!) even in the staff canteen. Lunch from home cost approx £1 but end up spending £1+ on drinks as no fluids thru Security still in place arrrrrrrgh!0
