I'm a stay at home mum with two small children and a hubby who is quite often in for lunch due to very strange work patterns so it varies considerably for me. On average though I would say it costs less than £2.00 a day to feed the whole family. I make almost everything. Today we had our main meal at lunch time - home made chicken nuggets, bacon, lettuce, homemade guacamole and crunchy garlic bread - well under £5.00! and really really filling too.
  • Homemade bread roll, celery sticks, fruit, water so usually 50p to a pound.

More if I fancy a treat!

  • I think l spend about £3 a day on lunch. With a new lunchbox l could do a pack up and save £15 a week minus ingredients etc.:T

  • I spend up to£2.50 per day on lunch depnding on if I make my own or not!

I make my own sandwiches for work. It works out less than £1 and if I have pitta bought from Taj (5 pack x 4 for £1 that's only 5p per pitta!!)

If I remember I'll take a banana or yoghurt with me otherwise I raid the biscuit tin at work
