  • Hello,

I spend anything between £1 - 6 a day. I try to take packed lunches when possible. We have a subsidised canteen, where you can have a hot meal for about £3 or 4. I am often out an about so can't have packed lunch or use the canteen, in that case I could be paying anything around £5. I try not to spend more than £5. Also I try not to buy drinks unnecessarily, when I can have water from the office or something.

  • Last nights leftovers always taste so much better the day after. If possible and of course if there is any left I take that for lunch so almost free. Otherwise I refuse to spend more than 1.50 unless its a special occassion. Its just so unecessary.

  • Currently on maternity leave, so not spending anything on lunch - eating leftovers & whatever's in the cupboard. Used to buy sandwiches from Morrisons, so up to £3 a day. Would need to remedy that when get back to work.

    Maximum £1.50 a day

    Sarnie, banana, yoghurt stick thing.

Pay £4.00 a month to the works tea club for tea/coffee/milk so no drink needed.

the flask would be great for home made soup though. ;)

My lunch costs me about £2.00 a day unless of course I go to see mam!!!:j
  • Like others I use left overs usually so probably only a few pence. Most I buy is a pack of crisps or can of fizz so on those days about 50p.
  • I used to spend £2.00 but earlier this year was diagnosed with Stomach ulcer  so now it is a sensible lunch for me.

I try to make it at home and take it with me but if I have to buy from shop it works out between £4 and £5.

  • I spend less than £2 per day, made at home.
  • on average I spend about £2 on lunch (less than £1 if I take leftovers for lunch, £2.25 if I buy a subsidised meal in the canteen).
very occasionally i will treat myself to an m&s or pret sandwich in which case my lunch costs more like £4 - £5.
