How patient are you with non paying buyers?

I had the opposite problem where the buyer wouldn't get back to me with a final total including postage & would only take cheques. It took a week of emails & I finally offered him a couple of quid more & he miraculously replied. I looked on ebay for advice but couldn't find any on non-taking sellers!0

Thought I'd add my problem buyer to this topic instead of opening a new one. I sold an item that ended on the 10 december. Sent an reminder email after 4 days then started the NPB process after a week. Today Ive received notice that Ive got a pending echeque payment on its way and it wont clear for four days. I thought paypal payments were instant?
Anyone experience this before?0 -
E-cheques are a right pain. In my experience they have taken upto 10 days to clear, so best to keep your buyer informed, ie they won't be getting their item for christmas. They're so random too, I've paid with one and not realised I'd done it. Treat them like ordinary cheques and do not post out your item untill it has cleared.0

Send him a message every other day until he replies and take it from there. If you don't have it after 2 weeks I would start a chargeback.fruitcake wrote:May I ask your advice as a first time buyer, I bid for an item won it payed for it straight away using paypal, that was on the 14th December, how long should I wait for delivery of an item (cd) after paying. I did get concerned and wrote to the seller, am reluctant to leave a negative feedback, as it may be the "christmas post", their quote. ? Thanks0 -
I have it stated clearly on my conditions payment withing 7 days or npb will be filed and neg feedback may be given. Only had a few npb's but find the kick up the backside of starting action is usually enough to get thier hand in thier pocket. Had the 'someone else was using my account' one also.
My one and only neg feedback came from a buyer who sent me an incomplete set of instructions she was multiple selling. I pointed this out and was promised the revised set which never came in the promised time yet she was still selling it so i left a neg and got one back calling me a 'mallicious buyer' !!!!
Looking at her feedback though she has many neutrals as well a quite a few negs, which seems to be the way most people avoid the tit for tat negs as it dosent affect thier ratings.[/FONT]0 -
I give them 10 days with a few reminders, then non paying bidder notice and cash in after 10 days of that, telling them all the time what will happen.
I never leave neg feedback though, because you only get it back of them.
I think the key is set them deadlines and keep to them.0
