I had a problem with the first person who didn't pay me, i waited 8 weeks for payment (so they send me a cheque in dollars, American buyer, even though i stated payment in £s and it wasn't for enough money.) She got abusive when i emailed her saying i couldn't accept this then after another month of ignored emails i left neg feedback saying disappointed etc then she left me neg saying 'very rude and unwilling to communicate in a civilized manner bad ebayer'
i just don't understand some people. Accept that some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.0 -
Ive had people leave me feedback after the 90 days is up, i can't remember exactly but it was about 95 days after auction ended. It was an american buyer so i don't know if that makes a difference??

It is possible to leave fedback after 90 days in some cases so don;t necessarily rely on the other person not knowing how to do it.

I waited two months for payment before deciding to post a non-payment with ebay which was when I found out you have to post non-payments within 42 days of auction end. The guy still didn't pay and I wrote it off to experience and left negative feedback, amazingly he then decided to pay and leave me positive feedback!0

I so far have only bought not sold on ebay but am highly frustated at one seller basically refusing to leave me any feedback at all! I bought some wool on Oct 10th paid immediately and the wool was promptly sent. On arrival of the wool, I immediately left +ve feedback but still have received none in return!! After a month I contacted the seller and she emailed back, saying that she had been away the last few weekends and hadn't checked her account but would that night leave some 'very positive feedback' and now nearly 3 months on, I'm still waiting!! I contacted ebay and they said there was basically nothing I/ebay could do about it! As a newcomer to ebay with less than 10 feedbacks every +ve feedback counts, so to not get one when I paid immediately is highly frustrating!0

Even though not getting feedback when you have left some yourself is frustrating it is not compulsory and sometimes you just have to say to yourself that you won't ever get it from that seller. Also I wouldn't ask for it because some people on here don't leave it if the other person in the sale asks for it.0

May I ask your advice as a first time buyer, I bid for an item won it payed for it straight away using paypal, that was on the 14th December, how long should I wait for delivery of an item (cd) after paying. I did get concerned and wrote to the seller, am reluctant to leave a negative feedback, as it may be the "christmas post", their quote. ? Thanks0

I recently tried to sell tickets for the 12th of December, the auction closed and I sold the tickets for just over face value and waited to hear from my buyer, and waited.....
Eventually the replied but as a different ebayer, telling me they'd had a problem with their broadband connection. I waited some more (12th December was approaching rapidly), and eventually gave back negative feedback, they buyer responded again saying they'd told me there'd been a problem with their broadband, I asked for payment again but still got no response.
I've since looked at the profiles of both ebay identities and discovered that the buyer was active during the period they claimed they had a connection problem. I think this person has multiple identities and probably had the same tickets I was selling and were blocking me from selling. I managed to get a little less than face value on a three day auction and delivered the tickets personally a day before the event.
caveat emptor?
maybe caveat venditor too!0 -
:xmassign: Here's a quick tip for all those ( like me ) who have had years of argument and unwanted hassle fom the NPB's.
1-Upgrade your Paypal account to Premier.
2-Change your items from Auction to Fixed Price
3- Enable the Immediate Payment Option under Payments and Postage when you set-up.
This means that only interested people who a) have a Paypal account and b) have to pay immediately - can end your auction. They must pay Paypal BEFORE EBAY WILL ALLOW THE AUCTION TO CLOSE. This has done wonders for my blood pressure and decent people seem to prefer it!! Good luck everyone... Merry Xmas and Happy New Year.0
