First time I have ever heard of it and them, but on calling them they say it is from an Orange phone contract back in 1995..

No it is them who have to prove that YOU owe them. As the debt is over 6 years old, if you haven't acknowledged the debt in writing or by payments in that time it is statute barred anyway and can not be chased.
