The problems at KE/ING seem to have continued beyond the first batch.
I waited until last Monday (13th) before trying to transfer out some of the money I have in KE. Before I attempted a transfer I rang KE and checked the current position, the best way to do it, and the time-scale. I was told to do it by BACs as CHAPs were being delayed, and I would definitely have the money within 3 or 4 working days, as new payments weren't affected by the backlog.
No money has appeared. My bank (HSBC) have confirmed it's not going to arrive today or tomorrow.
I received the email last night from ING saying I was in the 5% of manual payments. I do not understand why. I initiated a BACS payment for £11,000 on Monday 13th.
I spoke to KE earlier today and was told they could no longer access accounts and had no idea what was happening. I spoke to ING and were told that they could not access any accounts, and could not give me any further information, and that I should watch the website for updates.
I find this absolutely unacceptable. If there are delays I need to know why, and *when* I can expect to get my money back.
I have another £7K still in KE/ING in a term deposit. I cannot decide whether it is more sensible to initiate a transfer out, and risk it too getting delayed for unknown reasons, or to leave it in there.
I also cannot understand how a bank completely underwritten by the FCSC when I invested in it can be allowed to be 'sold' by the government to a company which no longer offers us that protection.
There seems to be no quality information around about KE or Icesave, and no-one who one can speak to about timescales. We're currently losing £170 a month in interest, and have no idea when we will get our monies back. One thing I have learnt from this charade - I will never, ever again put money in an internet-only bank.0 -

Yes, just now - one into RBS and daughter's into Nat West0 -
IMPORTANT.
Payments are now coming in for some people according to reports above. Please can everyone check their accounts over the next hour and report if you've got the money. THis will help us work out the scale of the people who still haven't been paid.
