Despite a couple of people saing their money has arrived, my money is still missing from my account. £xxK requested on 8 October and taken from my account on 9 October.
  • £35k CHAPS/International just arrived in my linked account.....done 7/10.

I'd like to thank ING but I'm finding it tough. Still a lot quicker than Iceave/FSCS........
  • PAYMENT UPDATE
As confirmed in our update last Tuesday we have now been able to clear over 95% of the outstanding payments. NOT TRUE The vast majority of these appeared in the destination bank account on Friday, NOT TRUE but we are aware that some were unable to be processed by the receiving bank and these will appear on Monday. NOT TRUE

We also confirmed that there was a small group of payments NOT TRUE that would take longer to process. ING Direct continues to work with the Administrators of Kaupthing Edge to clear this remaining 5% NOT TRUE of payments as quickly as possible. We have identified the affected customers and will contact them directly with further information NOT TRUE

If ING are reading this I'd like some honesty for a change.
I'd like to know if I'm one of the small group by ringing a number to find out.
I'd like a guarantee when the money will be in.
I'd like an explanation of why we've all been lied to.
I'd like to know who is in charge of dealing with this.

I've left 73K in my ING account - I'd like to know how best to get the whole lot out as quickly as possible as 2 previous CHAPS have gone AWOL.
  • Hooray - mines in too, 1 for 10K and 1 for 35K

The money is on its way peps!
  • The fact that it's got tangled up with a company in administration, that's what.

Many people here have suffered .......what is the position of them seeking compensation?
    ....Illegitimi non carborundum

...don't let the illegitimate ones grind you down....

    Folks

Thsi probably isn't what people want to hear, but it isn't the fault of those in the KE or the ING call centres. They are doing the best they can and are telling you the truth as they know it. They are not deliberately lying or witholding information to make you annoyed or angry. They aren't deliberately being useless. These are people - students, young mums etc who are probably being paid around £6 per hour and are doing the best that they can. They aren't being given the information by senior management, which is not their fault. Equally, they have probably been given orders not to put people through to senior management and will face a disciplinary, or loss of their jobs, if they do otherwise. In this climate, they are probably as worried as the rest of us.

I have not had any problems with dealing with KE. Every time I have phoned their call centre they have accessed my account as requested and helped me as much as they can (with the limited knowledge that they have of the situation).

I am in the same position as many of you (before people attack me!) I am pregnant, have lost my job because I have been so ill with it, and had all my instant access savings in KE (£8k). We too are struggling and cannot afford to put the heating on because we don't know when we are going to get our money back (we are one of the manual transactions). We put through a CHAPS request on 7th that didn't work and when we phoned up, they put it through manually on 8th and it still hasn't arrived.

All I am saying, in a long winded way, is that it isn't the fault of those in the call centres, so giving them grief, marching on the place etc, isn't going to solve it or make our money come back. Martin and Co are doing their best and while I would like more information from KE, we just have to wait and trust.

It's in. Now we stay put here until everyone gets their money. Agreed?

BTW - thanks very much for the support and the thanks - it kept me sane. Anyone in West Wales who wants to go for a drink?
