Apologies if this specific point has already been discussed, but I couldn't find anything in the threads:
Like a lot of posters here, I was relieved to find today that the CHAPS transfer of the balance in my ING account into my RBS account, which I requested just after my Kaupthing account was taken over by ING, went through today. However, I notice that a £20 CHAPS fee has been subtracted from the amount transferred. This doesn't seem fair, given that the money was not transferred within one working day. I of course appreciate the huge problems that ING have faced, and perhaps it would have been impossible for them to transfer the money in one working day. But, ultimately, I've paid £20 for something (a transfer within one working day) and did not receive that thing. So surely I'm due that £20 back? I rent-out a holiday lodge, and if it burned to the ground after being struck by lightening, those people whose bookings I had to then cancel would of course rightly expect a full refund, even though my failure to provide them with accommodation was not due to any fault of my own...0 -
It's becoming so upsetting and stressful now, especially as CHAPS transfers that were made after mine (07/10 for 08/10) are being transferred now.KE veteran - life seemed so much simpler then!0

I did a BACS transfer for £9K on Friday 17th and it arrived in my linked account this afternoon. I have now received all my money with the exception of £90 to keep my account open.0

Havent been able to get on till now, just caught up from last nights posts.
Marvellous money is coming thro today great to see those that did were so upbeat and full of joy, and even those happy tears.
All the rest me included, hang on in there unity is strength the floodgates have been opened slightly, they will be ripped off their hinges come Friday Im sure.
I would like to apologise for last nights bit of escapism banter as I seem to have started it with Monty Python, I did not mean any offence either or was I being flippant as I wait a substantial amount made on 7/10 to come thro !!
These are very trying times here I am aware, but this was no more than abit of banter in times of adversity, so ontherun, catbalo, chilledout, northernstar, joanniepony, nomorekids, etc, etc ,my apologies for your wrist slapping from Martin.
Just to add again nothin thro for myself today either.
Robborollover I loved the happy banter last night, thanks to everyone for that! I am still missing my money too, so just remember that I will be whispering "always look on the bright side" quietly under my breath tonight.Money requested 08/10, left KE 22/10 - Arrived 24/100 -

My understanding is that ING will sort out the CHAPS fee after this is all over, but I only have this information from the forum, so don't hold me to it! I believe a lot of people are in the same boat but have been told this money is likely to be reimbursed.Money requested 08/10, left KE 22/10 - Arrived 24/100 -
