I made a BACS transfer yesterday as I feared that CHAPS would never go through with the current problems. I need my money urgently. You reckon i did the right thing?

Looks like they are getting close to catching up with the backlog and more recent transactions - i've just received a BACS from 11/10 and a CHAPS (20 taken from KE only) from 20/10.

I'd also like to say thank you to everyone (well almost everyone) on this thread. I've hardly posted, but have read most of the thread, and it really has helped me get a better idea of what has been going on and to keep things in perspective.

Hi, I've just checked my Halifax account and the CHAPS transfer I made on 9th October has just arrived, to my tremendous relief.

Hope everyone else is sorted out tomorrow and before the weekend at the very latest.

Evening All,
Havent been able to get on till now,just caught up from last nights posts.
Marvellous money is coming thro today great to see those that did were so upbeat and full of joy, and even those happy tears.
All the rest me included, hang on in there unity is strength the floodgates have been opened slightly, they will be ripped off their hinges come Friday Im sure.
I would like to apologise for last nights bit of escapism banter as I seem to have started it with Monty Python, I did not mean any offence either or was I being flippant as I wait a substantial amount made on 7/10 to come thro !!
These are very trying times here I am aware, but this was no more than abit of banter in times of adversity, so ontherun,catbalo,chilledout,northernstar,joanniepony,nomorekids, etc, etc ,my apologies for your wrist slapping from Martin.

My thoughts are that you are front line KE Customer Service, but you need to understand that when people are in a situation where they may potentially lose everything they have worked hard for, and that they have no understanding of the banking system internally, then they will be worried, upset and stressed, and that is why we have this forum.

We all appreciate that you guys are given sheets to read off, and we accept that on some occassions people may have been angry or even abusive with you, but we all know that the majority of you are working really really hard fielding our calls. When you accepted the job on the "front line" then you must have realised that it wasn't always going to be a bed of roses! It's part of the job I am afraid. I can honestly say that most of the guys that I have spoken too, Patsy, Sips, Callum, Michael and Jade, to name but a few, have been fantastic, I don't blame them for my missing money, so please have a heart and stop adding further un-necessary upset, it's not funny and not welcome. I would ask you to question yourselves as to why you are in a Customer based job if you can't handle it. Please don't take it out on people who are banging their heads on a brick wall day after day, waiting for another Friday only to be disappointed again. If you don't like the forum, then please don't read it, it's not personal, it's the only way we have of getting useful information and support from others in the same boat.
