I initiated my CHAPS payment on the 8th but on the KE site it says 9th (it was late afternoon on the 8th). Amount was £19750 to my Halifax account. Left £250 in there as a gesture of faith........that has rapidly gone.

I'm horrified as I read the posts. All the people who have phoned ING and all the many differing stories they're being told. Either ING are blatantly lying through their teeth or their training and information dissemination to their staff is woefully poor...although at the moment I'm staryting to believe that it's both. I too receveid the emails from them stating that they are "on it" and I'd get my money by friday. Thankfully I didn't believe a word of it.

I havent phoned them myself yet and I'm trying not to as I know I'll get mad about being constantly fobbed off. I wouldn't mind so much if they were just honest and said "Sincere apologies. Please bear with us. Your money will be with you in (for example) 2 months time". At least I'd be able to plan.

Also, if they are now saying that all CHAPS payments will be BACS - will they refund us the £20 and is it ING who refund us this money?

Nobody is going to get paid today. We might as well face up to that fact and move on. I do think that somewhere, somebody, does know about all the payments that are due and it'll turn up in time.

Still fronting it up with breathtakingly dishonest Bulls**t, ING have just fanned the flames in terms of people worrying about their money and lost a lot of longer term customers in the process.

You have to ask, what was the point at all of ING taking on Kaupthing Edge if it's still taking weeks to get our deposits. I'd have more confidence of getting something from the FSCS at this point.

Get used to the idea that the money will not be available to us for at least a couple of weeks and simply stop believing the outrageous BS and lies that are coming from ING. I have and I feel better already.

Why do you think that? How else do these sorts of investigations come about? It has to start by someone losing a substantial amount of money - all of us together are missing over £5m quid.

I would imagine the ING staff answering the phone are as much in the dark as anybody else but have to say something.

I made a BACS payment of over £21,000 on the 3rd of October - this seems to be earlier than most people on here??
I still have yet to receive this in my A&L account

I received the email guaranteeing all payments by Friday 17th, but nothing further since then.

When I called ING on Friday night I was told it would be in my account on Monday (today), but there's still nothing there.

Starting to worry now, money has been gone for 17 days

Just spoken to the Halifax no payments due today. She said if it is by BACS then the earliest we will see any money is Friday. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Having just spoken to ING, have learned the following:
1)The so called 5% manual payment instructions that they are talking about, he admitted were are all the CHAPS instructions.

2) He admitted that the payments would probably not be made before Wednesday and completely understood why I didn't believe that deadline in view of the other lies already told.

3) He realised that he was being fed misinforming info by his superiors to pacify callers ie first, all payments would be made by fri, then the remainder by monday, now it's looking like wednesday etc etc.

I didn't want to vent my anger on him as it would not be fair, however, I did inform him about the forum and the general feeling of suspicion, mistrust, anger about the false information being given out and asked him to check out the forum and pass it on up the line.
