Hi,
Hope someone can help me. I am paying off my debts as quickly as I can and hopefully should be debt free in the next 12 -18 months. I checked my credit report and found that I have 4 CCJ's against me. I never received paperwork/bailiff visit with regard to this and have looked into it and all 4 which total about £1200.00 are from one Company for one debt that they were chasing me for. I had defaulted on the loan, which is now paid back. Is this common practise for them to issue 4 CCJ's? This is being dealt with at Northampton county court, would they accept £15.00-£20.00 per month of each of the debts? I really want to clear my credit file up.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. J xDebt free by August 2011 or sooner :A0 -
We are currently setting up our DMP which starts in July through CCCS and are looking at moving our bank accounts - in our DMP is a overdraft with Alliance and Leicester for £950 and a overdraft with Barclays for £2,000 - looking at setting up a new bank account with Abbey - is this bank linked to A&L or Barclays? If so who could we go with? Partner has an unused account already with LloydsTSB so can't use them I don't think. Our children have accounts with HSBC so not sure if we can use them. Thanks0

Hi
If i were to telephone CCCS monday evening with all my details and a DMP was recommended, do you think it would be possible to get things moving quite quickly i.e. I send token payments to creditors this month or is that a bit too ambitious!0 -

As far as I know you can send token payments whenever you want,(but make sure you cancel the d debits from your bank account and open new one asap)so if you want to do this before the DMP is set up it will be fine.
I sent my token payments for May last week and my DMP doesnt start unitl 1st June
hope this helps0 -

Hi
I just got all my info through from CCCS sayiong they have accetedus & first payment is due 1st June. Do I still send token payments out for May (have sent them along with notifications of debt management letters for April)?
Also I have just received a letter from Egg - a default notice, it says I have until june 1st to pay full balance of £7k or it will be sent to a debt collector, should I be worried? (I am!)

When I was on a DMP with the CAB, I claimed back my bank charges. I did have to use the money to clear some debts but as you've said you want to clear your debts quicker, than I can't see why not.
