    I'm with Lovefilm on the 2 discs at a time package and have had awaiting allocation for both discs since Monday.

    I emailed them on Wednesday but had no response so I called them today on 08706095384 and was told they have a problem with the despatch system and they hope to get it fixed within 48 hours and when it was fixed they would credit the number of lost days back into my account.
  • Snap! Since Lovefilm merged with screenselect the site has been slow and allocation taking ages. I have had damaged discs and discs never turning up.
    Thinking of changing companies again if this carries on in the next few weeks.
    April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£150
  • Maybe if the customers go elsewhere where they get the service they deserve (or the service that Lovefilm provided before they wanted to corner the market) then they will start to consider the very people who enabled them to buy out ScreenSelect...vote with your wallets, they'll soo stand up and listen.

    I would love to know what percentage of Lovefilm customers are also MSE members...

    Another one to rant about lovefilm!! I had a payment holiday unfrozen 23 october and it has taken them a whole week to send me 2 dvds. I don't even ask for NEW movies!!

    will have to give them a ring and see if they will give me more free days.
  • I've left Lovefilm(for the reason detailed above) and I've gone back to Blockbuster.
    I've always found Blockbuster's service and turn around to be very good.
    And at £14.99 for a 3 disc unlimited pack age the same price as Lovefilm.
    The golden age of online DVD rental has come and gone with their now being only 2 big providers, so very little competition. Not good for Mr Consumer.

    We have experienced some technical problems which have delayed your LOVEFiLM service this week. This is a side effect of our autumn service upgrade earlier this month.

    The LOVEFiLM website and overall service has proved so popular, even we have been surprised by the level of demand and we can confirm this has caused some delivery delays to your account in the last few days. We have fixed the problem and now caught up with any delays.

    Any discs that were due will definitely be sent over this weekend, so, if you haven't received your delayed disc already, don't worry, it's on its way!

    Now, apart from offering you our sincere apologies for this technical glitch, we want to make up for it by sending you an additional rental from your list completely free of charge. This bonus rental will be sent next week.

    You dont have, as Martin says in his article, 28 days after cancelling to return your dvds :mad:. They must be returned before the first billing date or you will be charged. What made this worse was that even after cancelling and returning dvds they tried to send out more films until I contacted them and also cleared my list online.
    Apart from this the service and speed was very good

    Yep agree screenselct were fab but since lovefilm has took over it it terrible. slow service, low rated films-still yet to receive a high rated selection of mine and two of the last five discs were cracked and unplayable. Come back screenselect pleeeeeeeeeeeeeassssssssssseeee.
    Anyway just signed up for free trial with blockbuster and will cancel lovefilm. They would have to improve 100% to ever go back to them.
    Thanks to MSE and all the moneysaving tips I can now work PT (instead of FT) to pay the bills and still have fun!!:beer:

    Just cancelled my account -not seen a disc for 8 days and they were hardly apologetic when I called. Offered my 5 free days. Pff, you can keep 'em. I will grab a free trial with them in a month or so when they have had chance to sort problems out. Remember, it will make it much easier for them if all you unhappy customers cancel
