His proxy features no mention of Proxy, even in the source file...

EDIT - LiveCD is just a name for a CD that runs something without you needing an OS or anything. The most common one is a copy of Ubuntu (version of Linux) which runs off a disc - you plop it in, boot from the CD, and then a (albeit slow) Ubuntu desktop appears, preloaded with Firefox etc. Instantly bypassing anything you installed in Windows...

For the more adventurous, you could even re-partition and make it a hidden partition, then install another OS (i.e. Vista) in the partition, although you would probably notice the "choose which OS to boot" bit. You could just drop in an extra HDD, then not mount it in Windows #1, then simply select that via the "boot from" prompt most BIOS' have.

Sorry if any of you feel that i'm "ruining" her plans, it's just that I can't think of any easy way of filtering stuff...

EDIT 2# - I'm such a geek that i'm typing this over my laptop which is in bits :p

The OP isn't tech savvy and i'm willing to bet that I could easily bypass whatever she puts in place with ease without her even noticing. The point i'm making is that you can't rule with an iron fist - even China can't filter the internet for bad stuff without people getting round it so the odds of you doing it are a little less. Things like Vista's Parental Controls are easy to setup and can be useful, but again can be removed (i.e. services.msc -> parental controls -> disabled -> reboot -> no longer works), bypassed etc. You have to discuss your issues with your daughter first...

The webcam idea was because a while back a video of a girl being forced to strip because a guy (who didn't even know her and was even making it all up) claimed to have a dodgy picture of her which he would send around her school unless she complied - this was videod and sent around the chans etc and seen by thousands upon thousands of people, including people who knew her...
Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.

Yes, delete the keylogger. You will be back on here in a week making a new post saying that you have a virus and your bank details have been stolen.
