With the aid of an online translator I visited many of Europes electronics resellers in search of hard drives.
Pretty much EVERYWHERE has sold out. The one I did find in France only shipped to France or Belgium
I ordered my Xbox on November 22, it arrived on launch day from Woolworths.0 -

dont blame us - blame argos!
If you want someone to blame, blame Microsoft. Argos, Comet, Currys, Play etc. are just selling the things. The reason why they are all so disorganised and just selling them to anyone is because there simply aren't enough of them. They are shifting them while demand is high. Of the number of unhappy customers there are so many more satisfied ones. In a bid to try and conquer Japan Microsoft (as usual) screwed us over. The UK only got 75,000 units and they all sold out. Japan got 175,000 units and they have sold 69,000.
I agree that it is unacceptable that people's pre-orders have not been honoured but if there were enough to go around these pre-orders would have been fulfilled.0 -

Its all the people buying them to sell on for a profit thats causing a major shortage. People who really want one then have to pay over the odds.
I agree microsoft should have released more for the first sale, but then if they flooded the market initially then they would not have sold as well. Smart thinkin but the initial profit has not went their way.0 -

My personal opinion is blame them all.
Firstly Microsoft should have got their act together before rushing to get their console out before Christmas, bad timing, bad organisation - cant meet demands!
Whats more infuriating is MS spreading the adverts across tv, is that so parents get double the headache when their kids want this flashy console thats been advertised on tv only to be dissapointed on Christmas day!
Argos, Play, Comet - maybe they do only sell the console, but are to blame just as much in the fact they offer consoles they dont have, why take pre-orders they cant fulfill, why promise consoles before Christmas that they dont have!?
Basically, all in all its quite a big f**k up! :mad:0 -

Dear Mr Bill Gates,
Please could you fly in them 100,000+ consoles that are sitting around in Japan to us in the UK so we can buy them.

I ordered an xbox from Argos website friday , i dont want it i just wanna make a profit :snow_laug
But only sold for £285 so i didnt make hardly anything ,damm if only i was quick enough to get the premium one :snow_grin0 -
Just had an e-mail from Comet to say that the bundle that I ordered for delivery on the 6th Dec (Core/hard drive and two games) is going to be delivered tomorrow
I know people have tried taking the games back - but I can't see anything on their website that says about this kind of thing. Only that small items can be taken back to the shop for refund.
What I did notice on there is a statement about delivery that says
Delivery Guarantee
We guarantee to deliver your product when we say we will or we will give you your delivery charge back.
Has anyone whose delivery didn't turn up on the date but have had an alternative delivery tried to claim their delivery charges back.
Thanks,0 -
Nice for people to profiteer at other people's expense. Hope one day it doesnt happen to you when you have kids and they have to do without because a parent can't get a item due to demand and or greedy Ebayers charging vastly inflated prices. :rudolf: :xmassign:Dealmad wrote:I ordered an xbox from Argos website friday , i dont want it i just wanna make a profit :snow_laug
