  • Glasvegas are very 'now' beanie. Quite hard hitting Glaswegians. Good stuff if a bit depressing!. Daddy's Gone is excellent though.

ooh, Lou, that sounds so awful. I really hope it all works out.

Thanks for that Numpty but they only pay the minimum statutory payment anyway so we would be no worse off:rolleyes:

    Has anyone got any ideas:

At the moment I work Tuesday evenings (Stu has kids), Wednesday days (Ryan at school, Natasha at nursery), and Saturday days (Stu has the kids).

For at least the next couple of weeks, Stu having the kids isn't an option (I don't want to go into why, but it's not that I want to keep him away from his children, please believe that).

I'm going to talk to work later and let them know what's happening, but I need to try and work out if there's any way I can still do my job (it's unlikely I can change my hours).

My Mum and Dad might be able to help a bit - but they live 30 miles away, so having the kids overnight on Tuesday (as I work till 11pm so it's too late to go and pick them back up) isn't really possible as Ryan has school on Wednesday.

And I really have no clue what to do about the Saturday.

Help - any ideas anyone?
Snags I've only just stumbled on your news - hugs (((()))). Haven't you got half term coming up? so it wouldn't matter if the kids were at your parents o/night as there's no school. Could you stop with them o/.night and drop Ryan at school- sorry I've no idea if you drive or have a car?

I could cry for him Toto, it is heartbreaking to see a clever man who is talented and such a good worker be beaten down like this. He has no drive left, they have taken everything and although I give him ideas and have shown him advertised jobs and college courses he just shakes his head as though he has nothing left in him.

I hope the bloody place is closed before christmas, he will definitely be a different man if that happens.

Oh bless him, what a crying shame that good people are treated like this. I really don't know what else to say. I just hope from the bottom of my heart he gets what he wants and you can both move on.

Hiya - thanks very much x

I don't have a car, I'm insured on Stu's so possibly if we can be amicable I could use it, but it's all up in the air at the moment. And parents live 30 miles away, which isn't far I suppose but is well over an hour in morning traffic.

School breaks up on Friday, so next week might be easier, assuming I can patch up the argument with the parents. :o

But I'm still stumped long term unless me and Stu can work something out.

I wanted to take parental leave to give me time to sort it, but it's not looking likely they will agree it.
