Hey I am contemplating the same thing! Does lt ivory look like white unless you hold it agains white? Or can you see at once that it is not white? LOL My family are a traditional bunch, so i dont want them to start asking why on earth my dress is not white...lol Although I do LOVE the look of ivory/dk ivory with white beading or even red gowns....

Im just afraid pure white will look to 'washed out' in the pictures, also i am quite pale... if i had a tan, i could pull of pure white....

Thank god it's not just me with this dilemma. Thanks Kelda, after I posted I realised there was a thread and I think it is going to be light Ivory. Thanks everyone xx

Light ivory is pretty close. Mine looks a lovely light colour - like a creamy white as opposed to a blue-white

Ohh I just wanted to let you all know - I took my dress to have the bottom taken up the other day - the dressmaker was quite impressed with the quality of the dress and said a lot of shops have them made abroad anyway, so I had made a good choice.

And she said the beaded detail was gorgeous :j:j:j

Great news Louise, Im 100% sure now that im going to Landy for my 5 (OMG) bridesmaid dresses and my dress. I just need to try some on now.

Hi Guys,

I have been reading this thread for fair few weeks now and finally bit the bullet this morning and ordered my dress, 3 BM dresses and bags from Landy . I have been emailing them for a while asking if they would make cravats for me but they said they have never done it so instead are going to send me the matierial and my wonderful mum is going to make them for me )

I will keep everyone updated.

I know, I was pleased they said they would send the matierial, Didnt relish the idea of trying to find matching matierial :rolleyes:
