I received my dresses from landy this week, I thought my dress was lovely apart from the zip is a little bit iffy, I didn't like the veil I ordered as it seemed really stiff and a little bit course, I am really disappointed with my bridesmaid dresses they are both too big and I have now taken them and the veil to a bridal shop to see what they can do with them, but it is going to cost me about £100 + to fix, they are going to put straps in the bridesmaids dresses as they said even if they are a snug fit it is unlikely they will stay up properly because my 2 bridesmaid are so small and shapeless. :eek: The dresses are a smaller version of my bridal dress but in pink and they would be gorgeous if they actually fitted so wish me luck.

Sorry about the dresses, apart from the fit whats the quality like? Have you compared the size of the dresses to your measurements, did they make a mistake.

Sorry for the questions, i'm interested because I am prob gona get my dress and my bridesmaid dresses from Landy.

ascooterwoman - did you have your dresses custom made with measurements or did you buy the standard size? I am just wondering cos I chose to have all mine custom made. I was inpressed with the quality of them. Have you emailed Landy about your issues with them? They may be able to do something

You have pix of your dress? which one is that?

Hope they are fixed up nicely! Also if they made a mistake with sizing you should write to them and demand at least partial refund! Best of luck!

Hi, yes the dresses were custom made, the quality of the dresses are good, I really think it is more to do with the style of dress as it is really a bridal dress rather than a child's dress iykwim. I have emailed landy earlier today to let them know about the problems with the dresses and they have offered to do replacements so I really cannot fault them, unfortunately I don't really have the time for that options as my wedding is in 3 weeks, so I will probably just pay to have them altered as they are lovely dresses and will be fab once they fit iykwim. I did realize that I might have to have them altered slightly when I purchased them I just didn't realize how much they would need to be altered.:eek: I will try to put some pictures on later in the week for you to see them. I don't regret buying from landy I was just a bit shocked earlier at the cost and the work needed to make them right.I still think the dresses are worth the money I paid, just make sure you allow extra time for any alterations if needed.
