I am seriously contemplating getting Milly bridal to make my dress, I emailed them a few query's and their response has been excellent whereas Landy has been very blunt & perhaps vague. (I have asked them a few questions about colours & they only answer half the question). It would be almost £100 more for the 2 dress's I want but I'm concerned that Landy may not do the skirt on my dress full enough (i want a real princess look) and also the bodice and skirt slightly different to the picture on Landy website, so being able to see pic's of the mock up dress from Milly really appeals to me. Their ebay shop seems to have lot's more examples of dress's they have made. Rather than photos of the "originals" iyswim.

My dresses have arrived from Milly. They came yesterday. They look wonderful but I would say the bones are not as strong as in my dress which came from landy. Please dont take that as a big negative. I have heard from others that they got pictures sent to them throughout the milly process - I didnt but this didnt worry me as I did not get it with Landy either. Emails from both companies were short and sweet but I can guess this is because of the language barrier.

I am very ppleased with both companies and will post a picture of the bridesmaids on here later. Tailers dummy going up at my mums soon so I can photograph the wedding dress xx

Thats great news Bluezone and interesting to hear from someone that used both companies.

Can I ask why you used Milly after using Landy, why didnt you stay with Landy?

Were they Bridesmaids dresses from Milly? Can you post a pic of them.

Sorry to be so nosey its just that im also going to be ordering my dress and 4 bridesmaids dresses from either Landy or Milly.

    Thanks xx

I used both companies because the wedding dress I could only seeo n Milly and of all the bridesmaids dresses I saw Landy did not do the colour that I wanted but milly did. All the dresses I ordered I did via the 'custom size' route merely because I have 3 bridesmaids roughly the same size but 2 of them have a bigger bust than the other but have the same waist measurements etc. They fit perfectly. Will post a picture on here shortly xx

  • Wow that is gorgeous, I can't wait to see your wedding dress! I had a quote from Landy for my bridesmaid dress and it is more expensive. So I think Milly is the way forward for them and Landy for my dress. Thanks for posting Bluezone, Tiger x
