Hi Val Thanks for that OMG your dress is stunning, I bet you cant wait for it to come. I love your BM dresses to but my BM's are biggish girls and theres no way they would suit them. In fact one of them is sitting next to me laughing her head off at the thought of her hips in that style!! :rotfl:
My OH has gone to B'pool on a St Georges boys wkend so my friend is staying with me, we are just having a glass of vino to relax
Lol, My BMs are all completely different shapes too but this was the one they all agreed on. I have let them pick their own tbh, I picked a few selections out and they chose the ones they want. My sister (who usually goes out of her way to be awkward) just turned round and said she will wear whatever I tell her and smile and look like she is enjoying it. lol.
I wanted something they were all comfortable in plus one of my other BM who is my brothers fiancee has asked me to be Bm for her next year and if I put her in something she didnt like she could just get her revenge! lol.
Just to show how different they are the waists are 25.5inches, 36inches and 30inches. much fun :rolleyes:0 -
Yeah im leaving it to them to choose their dresses to, my 2 best mates are size 24 and 20, both are gorgeous and I keep telling them they will look wonderful what ever they decide. It will be fun going with them to try on styles tho. I think we may have to sink a couple of vodkas 1st :rotfl:
I've ended up have 5 BM's!! My 2 best friends, my OH's 2 daughters and my only god-daughter. 2 adults, a 14 yr old and 2 9 yr olds. This small wedding I was orginally having is growing bigger by the day and I still have 12 months to go :eek:0 -

Tell me about it, its so easy for them to get out of hand. I asked my Sister, Brothers fiancee and my best friend (i asked my main best friend but dont think he was too keen on wearing the dress) lol. Then I thought it would be nice to ask my OHs cousin who is also his god daughter to be flower girl (shes 8) but she also has an older sister and my OH has 2 sisters. had to tell them I would have loved to ask them too but just couldnt afford it!
Also my brothers fiancee thinks she has bingo wings so wanted something to cover them up, My Chief BM thinks she has gnarled toes so wants them covered up and my sister has loads of tattoos including a panther on her chest.lol.
Its all fun0 -

well it looks good on her.....not sure if it will look the same on me! i tried some dresses on in a shop and was completely put off they all made me look enormous, with bits spilling out all over the place (im a heaalthy size 14!!)
but i figured that this one has that little dangly bit that would hid a multitude of sins whist still having the corset top to hold me in!0 -
Gorgeous Dress, Mothercranky!
I'd ask lots of questions regarding the corsetry, I've heard a few reports of girls who are disapointed with the lack of support in 'corset' dresses from China.
I'd ask for specifics about boning and fabrics, you may have to pay a little more if you find that their 'normal' corset isn't enough for your dress.
Go and try on some corset top dresses and have a look at how they are made, the number of bones etc. then you'll know better what you are talking about.
Good Luck!0
