Hi girls, Just wondering if any of you would consider selling your used landy bridal swatches if you have no further use for them?
Just been quoted £20 for the 5 bridal shades from Ivan which I think is MEGA steep!
He also said they no longer supply coloured swatches so I doubt I will be using them for my bmaids dresses as Im not prepared to make a decision based on how they look on screen.

Think I'm gonna need botox to get my eyebrows down of the middle of my forehead from the shock. HOW MUCH??? and why on earth are they stopping selling the coloured swatches?
I've sent them a few queries re colours and not really been happy with the replies. Still got a few weeks to decide but so tempted to go with milly.

Not really sure whats going on with the whole swatches thing, It took two emails to get the prices out of him so maybe he just made them up on the spot!!

I personally dont belive that they no longer supply coloured swatches, it makes no sense. If Ivans info is correct I cant see them doing very well with their coloured dresses from now on!

On first impressions of Milly's site I didnt see much I liked but it was late in the day so Im gonna check her out again.. I know she has swatches advertised at a reasonable price so thats a plus for a start. :rotfl:

I'm going with Milly for my bridesmaids dresses as Landy don't do the colour that I want. I thought they did until I got the swatches from Landy and the colour I would have gone for was NOTHING like what I thought it was like.

Northernflasher - I would go onto Milly's website and get the white, ivory and light champagne swatches ($1 each with free P+P). I did this to compare and they are the same as Landy's shades. Milly don't do light ivory and dark ivory but once you see the ivory it gives you an idea of what they might be like.

Milly will also make dresses that aren't on the website if you send them the picture. I did this with 2 wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and flowergirls dress and she got back to me with a price the next day. She also sent me pictures of one of the dresses that they had actually made for someone else. The only thing about the wedding dresses was that they were dearer than Landy (one by £10 the other by £55).

One of the other posters on the landy swatch thread posted the link for the swatches and its still active. I purchased mine this morning and ivan emailed me to say they're up to 7 days.

I wasn't that impressed with the Milly website but there is a link on the website to their ebay shop Link and theres a bit more info on there, I've asked them to copy a dress for me and they sent me a quote back really quickly. My eyebrows have relaxed now lol.
