Thanks Linda, How will I know??0

Hard to say. Beaded and sequined lace retails at around £50-£80 per meter. The heavy lace can be easily cut away from the tulle to make the applique motifs. Some laces can be plain and then have the beads/sequins added (which most often is done by hand) They tend to use the clear sequins for this so be careful they don't give you silver. Doesn't work!!
If they are sending you images then I'm happy to give my opinion on those. Thing to remember is because you are purchasing offshore, the price is reflected in the materials. (Silk taffeta comes in a 150cm width which is perfectly suitable for the gown so no idea why they are substituting as synthetic taffeta comes in the same width!) Silk duchess satin is available in an extra wide width specifically for the 50's Candy Anthony style gowns. But with this in mind, I'm sure everything will be fab.
Great dress by the way.0 -
The lace they have sent me pictures of isnt beaded or sequinned. Ill try and post some pics for you to look at. It looks like a big piece of lace with appliques ready to cut, similar to a net curtain... I think0

Hi Becky
I got my dress from Milly today! It has lace with a pattern and sequins on, they put gold sequins on mine cos its champagne and gold. You cant see the lace to clearly in the pics but you can see at

Ive just set up a flickr account and added pics of the dress I've emailed Milly to work off, and the six samples of lace they have sent me to choose from. What do you guys think. Also I was going to change the back to a lace up because I prefer the look of a lace up back, Do you think this will look okay on this dress?

OOh I love lace 2! I think a lace up back would look gorgeous. I'm the same, I don't want a zip up back either, just looks so much nicer with a lace up back.Best Moneysaver...Starting my own Business!
