Hi ladies

Newbie here. Have been reading this thread with interest and after seeing a dress that I liked labeled at £2,800 decided there is no way I could afford that!
I am an Indian bride but instead of the traditional wear I wanted to wear a wedding dress in a red colour (which is traditional for Indian brides) that is quite embroidered. I have decided after everyone’s good experiences on here to order a landy dress! Only thing is I have emailed them to ask for colour swatches after reading an earlier post about a lady ordering a red dress only for it to look more salmon pink! Anyway ivan has said they do not send out swatches… so if anyone has a spare one that I can buy off them? Or if not can anyone help me with the red colours… I would like a red that isn’t post box red, more like a deep red wine red but not too dark… or a orange/red?

Time to warm up Landy thread I think as I have ordered my wedding dress from them today. Agghh!! I have also asked for a little alteration (from strapless to halterneck) and I cannot wait to see it on me. Fingers crossed it will look great!!!
Anyone received theirs recently? Pics would be appreciated (I am very nosey).

Hi ladies - taken me a whole day to read this thread but I think all I was looking for were more than a few bad experiences to put me off! And there have only been two as far as I can see?!

I have emailed them and asked if they can do an Amanda Wyatt Hayley, here's the link:

And they good news is they say they can!! Quoted 160 euros.

Anybody else had an amanda wyatt done, esp the Hayley?

I have pretty much given up my weight loss campaign and am starting to get jitterly as only 6 months left allowing for chinese new year.

I think i'll be ordering all of my dresses and accessories just after 14th november - my bridemaids are making their decision then and i'll mail landy for a paypal invoice as i want veil, bolero and bags as well as the 4 dresses - its much easier than ordering from the website that way

pavbachu - the proper red is number 3 - it is not pillar box but a bit darker - like a claret.

no 3....claret

no 31......burgundy
no 53.....Coral pink

Hi, not been on here for ages while my dress has been getting made. Milly bridal take longer than landy so its been about 2 and a half months since i ordered it but its almost finished!

They have sent pictures of it which are on flik, there are also pics of the test dress they made.

HI guys, I have been following this tread for months now, I went on to order from landy bridal but my dress came back, and all i did was cry as it was TERRIBLE..it did not even have an underskirt underneath it, and also was not the correct colour..anyway I got lucky as i was recommended to a fab designer who then made me a new dress from the scratch..she talked thru every, i mean every detail of what i wanted and my dress and how i wanted it , took my meaurement and drew u the sketch of my dream dress and itw as for only £440( I was in shock) ..so dress came back and was just as i envisioned it and the best part of it was that u could have seen that same dress on a high st bridal store for over £1,000..I have pictures on me in my dress..dont know how to put up pics but would do so asap..so ladies I dont think China can be an answer for every one some times u just want to get something affordable/cheap but i think if u have a choice do it with someone u can see and work with ...

My wedding big day is June 10. I have been looking around for my dream dress...
Read the forum about Landy and have a look thier website and the problems are most of the photos they show on the website is all designer dresses with the model. I have a look their finish products and wasnt that impress. Are they really that good? Anyone have their dress made from Landy can you please post some photos to share?

I am a bit confuse should I go to them or not... please help.
