    Helloo all
Horrible horrible weather here is bringing on a migrain so its been a throughly lazy day here with no flying whatsoever. Managed to do one load of washing, knock up a couple of fish pies and an uber batch of burgers for this weekend and that was my limit. Curled up on the sofa under a blanket with my little sister, watching disney movies and drinking hot chocolate.

sorry i couldn't catch up between pages 24 and 46, but in the last 2 pages it sounds as though you've all had a few interesting days, i'm going to try to catch up on the flying though as i have been feeling quite miserable today, like Beccah said, i think its the weather, i actually burst into tears earlier, and i' m not even sure why?????????????????????
  • flower..... at thr risk of being shot down in flames by the others here .... I feel from reading your list of club jobs that these are things that the secretary should be doing ....at least thats what I did as a secretary...??? I can imagine that you are all mucking in ( well some maybe more than others is the norm) especially if thereis loads that need doing but you should be putting most off your energies into building your business - vice chair (again IMHO)is not a huge job unless the chair isnt there and for events when all the committee take a role. Please dont get sucked in to taking on more and more - dont get me wrong I think its brilliant that you are a part of the committe and want to help the club.

Not sure if that has all come out the way I am thinking it - hope you see what I mean --OK I will but out now!!!

    toots xx

Toots, I never think you are butting in, and thanks, sometimes you have to hear it from someone else...

You're right about being vice chairman - I only signed up coz no-one else wanted it and I liked the name... :rotfl: but basically I don't do a lot IYKWIM.

The committee is made up of buildings, bar and entertainments - I am on the building committee, so deal with the new office and disabled loo being built at the moment, etc., There is also a treasurer who obviously does all the accounts and a manager, who knows loads of stuff about the club, but will freely admit is computer illiterate - EVERYTHING and I mean everything goes completly over her head, and when we get the internet sorted, she hasn't a clue on there, so I tend to do posters and stuff - the first aid thing I wanted to know myself before I went to the meeting tonight as one of the members has mentioned it to me so I wanted to know the facts first.

I have also talked them into running a 'virtual office' from there to bring money in - I use another company at the moment so that my business post does not come to my home - therefore no-one knows my personal details and my home life is just that - so we are now doing that and because I know all about it, I have been given that job, but now it's done, I'll pass that over and they will deal with all the new people that we hope to get (I'd rather pay the club for this than pay someone else...)

But you're right, I'm doing a load of stuff for both my and my friends business next week - we are working in her office in Hemel - and it works as because we are so far apart, we don't tread on each others toes but can both use the stuff we come up with... Thanks and please don't stop telling me off (in the nice way that you do)... I have done more towards it because of nagging on here than I have in ages of being on my own - it's hard being on your own, so a big thanks to everyone for your "assistance" :T :T :T

My house looks quite tidy. Do hormones start to kick in at 9? DD is in time out again for being a little madam! Do I just ignore her rudeness or do I keep pulling her up for it? DS has a black eye - fell over at school - silly monkey!

I would go and have a tidy up upstairs but spotty dotty is lying on my arm and it would be rude to move her! x
