Just read the thread. She does sound very emotional right now. She used to post here a lot about diet coke and a long time ago so it has been going on for ages. I'm not posting on there - can't think of anything constructive to say and would worry it might be taken the wrong way.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
She did better than I did though i've stopped again and it's not been a problem this time. Mind you, I was on two litres a day. Hope she's ok. I couldn't even find the thread but then I get lost easily! xx0

Just read through it as well and no didnt post, dont have any experience (cant stand coke so wouldnt have been able to add anything of value), do remember that she used to post on here about how much she was drinking, hope she gets help from somewhere.0 -
Evening all, hope you are all ok x Thanks for the messages.
I've done the BBQ thing, cold and tricky to see if stuff is cooked (DP carried the leisure battery and camping halogen lantern thing outsid) but they all enjoyed it. I need to get the grills off tomorrow and soak them before I put it away for the winter....well I might get it out occasionally.
Kitchens still not how I'd like it, I keep pottering doing bits everywhere and it is getting me nowhereI of all people should know it wouldn't work. I will have to focus my attention room by room tomorrow and get something sorted properly. Got DP to put the heating on because I need a shower, I can't be doing with getting out and shaking so much again, brrrr! Not wasting it however as instead of using the TD for clothes I have put the most recent wash on radiators.
Anyone else sick of hearing the R word............they're all saying what we've all known for ages, no wonder people are depressed with all of the repeated doom and gloom. It's a case of if it's going to happen we're all going to be in the same boat and just have to get on with it! I just wish it haddn't started going sour when my parents were trying to sell their house. One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Virus now safely in the vault so hopefully all is well.
Greenbee - I have changed supplier before and last time I checked I was with the cheapest for me - AGA makes gas usage high and we have E7 which accounts for 1/3 of electric so takes a bit of working out - I will see if I have time to do it tomorrow afternoon. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
oo err I didn't know you could get additited to cola...
mind you I'd have no chance cos the kids drink most of what I buy - when I do - and they are limited to a can a day...I have a big note on the fridge...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
I just read the thread in the arms too (long time since i was over there - i remember when they created it!). Didn't know what to post. IMHO for what its worth the diet coke is just a symptom of other major issues which she needs help with. Bless her.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Looks to me like it's a bigger problem than a diet coke addiction. Then again, what do I know... I used to have a problem with WATER (I drank in excess of 5 litres a day - VERY bad for the kidneys
) Thinking about it, she should probably be tested for diabetes if she's drinking that much fluid, but I didn't dare post either!
I haven't done anything today, as I've been sulking since I finished my last work call at 7.05... because I ended up with a whole lot more work. I've sent off a few stroppy emails, and moved some money, but that's it.
... oh yes, and I've closed most of the curtains, blinds & windows, closed the doors on the spareroom and living room (not using them right now) , and am 'testing' (again) the heating. It's been on for about an hour, very low, and it's up to 15.5 degrees (I'm warm, but that could be the wine  )
Can't be bothered to do anything... maybe I should have a bath and go to bed... don't think I'll make swimming in the morning. I'll have to try for Friday
Valli - I did try ringing my local tree surgeon but they were all out chopping down trees, so I'll try again on Friday. And hopefully will remember to go to the glass place on Saturday morning
Toots - don't forget to let me have your address and and idea of the kind of stuff you want... there may be more here!
Pigpen - are you sure I can't post you the sink, kitchen units etcIt would mean Valli could stop nagging me about the state of my garage...
