oooh I am so cross! I could NOT get on to the forum last night - other sites - yes - but not MSE - assumed it was down but clearly it was not (or have you all sent me to Coventry in a fit of pique?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
It did seem a bit unusual that you were so quiet on a Friday evening... we assumed you'd decided to go down to Cardiff after all!
The problems you were having may have been related to the Virgin Media problems yesterday. I know our main work connection came back up in the afternoon, but it had a huge impact on the internet as a whole.
I had a lovely morning (even if it was a bit early) having my hair done and reading a book while the colour cooked. I thought about looking for work clothes afterwards, but couldn't be bothered (and probably can't really afford it after the haircut)... I think I'll wait until I have a weekday off and go when it isn't so busy. I did find a nice new little shop that sells all the organic/chemical free stuff that I like though, so stocked up on Weleda bits while I was there.
I've had a bit of a rest reading on the sofa, washed the DW filters, reloaded it, washed up the stuff that needs doing by hand, put all my cleaning cloths in the WM with soda crystals & vinegar. I'm now thinking about doing a batch of baking (seeing as I have all the caked tins from the garage out in the kitchen at the moment I might as well use them!).
Dusty - hope you've managed to make sense of all the comparison site stuff.
Valli - E7 - it depends on the tariff, but generally it's about 30%.
Anyone who is with BG and can't be bothered to switch suppliers should at least switch to Click 6 NOW, IMMEDIATELY... you can do it online... unless you're on the 2010 fixed rate from 2005, or want the security of a fixed rate and are on one of the others. Although prices may go up and down a little bit, I don't think anyone's going to find anymore oil or gas (not in large quantities anyway), so gas at least is definitely on an upward trend, and until we've invested a LOT of money in new technology, electricity doesn't look like going down much either.... OK lecture over... but if anyone needs any help on gas/electric stuff let me know.
Toots - where are you? nothing yesterday and not much today... we're worried about you
Hope you have fun at your flylady meet tomorrow... I think the idea of regional meetings is a great idea. There's a few of us in the SE who could maybe get together (Froddy, Soappie, Sexymouse, Polka, Rach for a start... and maybe Flower if we picked the location carefully)0 -

Greenbee - I was thinking the same! If people are interested in meeting up somewhere in the south / south east then I don't mind trying to get something organised.
Maybe people could let me know the area(s) they could get to and I'll see if anywhere looks doable for everyone. Then we can try and sort out a date. Hope that sounds ok."There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Dusty how old is DS3? will the naughty step work for 5 or 10 mins or is he toold old forthat?
He is 6 - no the step doesn't work too well, I tend to send to his bedroom, he just has had the devil in him for a couple of days, this happens if he gets over tired or is coming down with something. He is so cheeky and thinks it is funny to make everybody else cross - toad. He has taken off his top and said he is too hot but I've got 3 tops on.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Well volunteered!! I'm between Basingstoke/Newbury/Winchester, and all roads lead away from Basingstoke (not unreasonable really) so can get to most places fairly easily.

Sounds like you'll be able to keep the heating off for the rest of the winter then Dusty :T looks like you'd better invest in some thermals for yourself0 -

Evening all... have had a !!!!!! afternoon - DS, my lovely, pain in the proverbial DS, has been suspended from college for 2 days (not on someone elses say so, but they had him on the security camera, various things, won't bore you with the details...) Basically, the H&S man came down to check out the college, and noticed DS straight away as doing things wrong, watched through the days videos and they had a record of him doing stuff as long as your arm.... WHY? we've just had all this, still not sunk in obviously...
He is at work now (is pot boy up our club) after I told him he was being chucked out of college instead of telling him he had been suspended (they have already chucked out 3 boys from his bit for similar behaviour), and that the school would probably expel him because of it, and that he would then have to go to the only other school around here which he hates... this got him really upset, so then I felt guilty and told him the truth, but now feel that I should have kept it going as he needs to learn a lesson - really don't know what to do with him... teenagers eh!
Go read my Tuesday and Wednesday posts.. we have had VERY similar with DS1 here.. he is still in college at the moment but with 70% attendance and 0% punctuality he won't be there much longer..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
