Try FIRST SAVE,the rate was really good 6%when I opened an account, but three weeks later they dropped the rate down to 4.75%,as I am over 50 I am going to go with coventry at 6.6% I think it's worth the extra hassle and wait.
Like many I have attempted to open a few extra accounts.
However, many upon completion want me to send docs etc. or wish to send application forms making the process take about 2-3 weeks.
Egg were no prblem. Opened online in 5 mins.
Any others open online like Egg but preferably paying monthly interest ?

I opened an E-saver with Abbey online. No ID required (I assume they checked me on electoral register or something), but it took about 2.5 weeks for the three bits of separate logon info needed to access the account to arrive in the post.0
