Visa debit card
A Visa debit card offers significantly better protection for shoppers. Their scheme is called Visa Debit Chargeback and any bank that issues a Visa debit card has to comply with the scheme.
You can claim money back if the goods you buy are damaged, or the product or services are not delivered.
There is no limit on what you can claim. But you have to claim within 120 days of the date you expected the goods to be delivered or the firm going bust.Hi All

My husband and I also owned and bred Siberian's for more than 15 years and I think this place is owned and run by the people who own these dogs. They have obviously thought here is a money making exercise because we have Huskies!!! Maybe the irate customers should contact the Siberian Husky club for help!! Glad my kids are grown up and I did not waste my money. Good luck to all who are trying to get their money back.0

You sound like my conscience duffman12
The words hastily (my word) and cobbled together (your words) are worrying and a pretty big red warning sign.
There is no proven connection between the two events, but in concept and application they are twins, with even the website including forensic traces of the previous Brighton incarnation.
I wouldn't even let them see my nectar card, let alone credit card.
That's no criticism of your post duffman12 I admit that I am a bit of a 'bull in a china shop', but sometimes that's what's needed.
I'll keep an eye on things, but I think my job is mostly done here.0 -

Amusingly, Radio WM decided to spend Monday morning castigating the `kill joys' who didn't want this delight in their village. Try 1 hour and 15 minutes into http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p001jxb5/Phil_Upton__Breakfast_01_12_2008/0

And 1hr48 into http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p001m216/Phil_Upton__Breakfast_04_12_2008/ you can hear the response by the organisers of the West Midlands' very own incarnation of this format.0 -

GomerPyle deserves your thanks because he is knowledgable, generous with his time, and has worked hard writing his letters albeit in his rather pompous style. Don't forget, though, that the strength of websites such as MoneySavingExpert is that the victims of the odious wretch Mears can seek and find redress for themselves, and that it is primarily due to the actions of the victims themselves that success comes about.
Dare I suggest that you reserve a little bit of your cynicism for self-appointed leaders of "groundswells of public outrage", even those who garner fulsome praise accompanied by a plethora of smileys.

Apology accepted Phil (even though it didn't last long)
I was surprised by your suggestion, as although I have visited this site often I have never before felt the need to join in .
In my back yard I suppose ,my money was involved.
I admire Gomer because of his obvious knowledge of where and how to glean information, and his willingness to act on it even though he is not personally or financially affected.
I am more than aware of how joint efforts by everyone on these forums often brings results, you did not really need to point that out to me.
I also don't consider Gomer at all pompous, just full of dogged determination.A man after my own heart actually,it's just a pity I don't have the same abilities or knowledge.
The point you are trying to make in the last sentence, quite frankly, escapes me....
Merry Christmas :beer:I don't want to buck the system....I just want it to WORK!!!0 -
