This is an example of how you should always read the small print.

It took me nearly a minute to see the scam and I knew it was there..

There's a discussion going on in the eBay forum regarding these scams here.

Thanks Justicia - I missed that.

Its still a warning that in general - not just on Ebay - we should read the small print.

    Too right, Fraserca!

With the amount of scammers now populating eBay who are after an easy pound, you definately need to be vigilant and cautious!!

If the seller is someone in England, I would sue. I doubt if this contract will stand up in court.
Eh?? I give up!! Towel is getting thrown in here! :D

The seller is 'no longer an ebay member' so hopefully the buyer will get his money back!

    Merry Christmas!
If Tescos and Asda are lowering prices every day,
how come nothing is free yet? :rotfl:

Quite the opposite I think Loopy_lou . If they are no longer members is even harder to get your money back.

Hopefully the buyer hasn't paid immediately.

I remember the same thing happened with the PSP as people were selling photos of it and putting in the middle or the end of the auction that your are bidding on a photo. Buyers should be aware but there are too many sellers that are out to con people and ebay should be doing something to stop it happening instead of just raking in all the profits from the percentage they take for the item being sold and then extra if it gets paid by paypal

You can get software that will automatically try to buy stuff on eBay for you - software that is very easily tricked by auctions like this.
