My post is delivered after 3.30pm each day and there is never a delivery on a Saturday. I expect Uktim and friends will tell me I should be grateful.
But I'm not!

the only other way is to pay for a po box number and go pick the mail up yourselfn on a morning.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Mail delivered at 1pm-2pm each day as standard for me.
I guess they have cut the workforce over previous years, this can be the only logical reason for it getting later and later.
Our postie has to cover at least six hundred houses before he gets to me, and then after mine there is a further two hundred. I guess the guy at the top of the road doesn't get his mail until at least 3pm-4pm each day as he is the last on the round.
There must be some posties on the board that could explain better.0 -
Our is usually around 11am. However, a couple of years back, it was arriving at 2-4pm, and not coming every day. And our postman never delivered parcels - he used to stick a "sorry you were out" card through the door with the post! I caught him out one day, when I opened the door and asked him for the package. Surprise, surprise; it was in his car!0

i noticed over the past couple of weeks that the post was not being deleivered until like 3pm in the afternoon when usually it was deleivered at 9.30-10.30 am
noticed that it was not the usual delivery guy so dont know if that is the reason for the late deleivery having to pick up other posties rounds as well as their own0 -
Mine normally arrives about 1pm or so, but the other weekend it was delivered on Saturday at 6.15pm!!

Lazy !!!!!!!! Did you complain to Royal Mail or whatever about that? I wouldn't stand for it, personally.0 -
If the posties getting there at 2pm-4pm I wouldn't say he's lazy, probably snowed under with too much work if anything. Bit naughty about parcels though.
Deliveries are starting later and there's only been one delivery for about the last 5 years now. So if you are at the end of the round then post is going to be late i'm afraid.
if your regular postman is off then it'll be covered by holiday or day off cover, or if not enough staff then overtime. It should ALWAYS be delivered everyday though if it doesn't then complain. Saturdays don't have so much mail compared to weekdays (normally) so you might not get any anyway.
Working practices vary from office to office, some "collapse" other walks and posties take a bit each for the end of their walks (I think this is the case)0 -

Mine too. We have a different postman on Tuesdays and he either walks slower or take a longer break
on his round.
Saturdays post arrives before 10.30am.
The last time there was a back log of post we only got ours every other day. Third Class post, the bags were being held at our local post office until they could deliver them.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

Might take a lot longer for the walk to get sorted into the frame and bagged up in the correct order as your tuesday guys not a regular. Whereas the regular guy knows the frame like the back of his hand and gets outside to deliver it earlier.
Saturday is normally easier than a weekday.
Back Log - Would that of been about the time of the Industrial Action? several months back?0
