Touchě, Shazza, though I would have thought you would have seen the distinction between me asking a question about the methodology of Paypal and custardly getting the hump and bandying accusations around because I wouldn't share my "thought processes". Asking how the system works is fair enough. Asking why one wants to know how the system works is a step too far.........in my (not so) humble opinion.

I disagree. Going back to my HYPERTHETICAL query. If I was to refuse the package, it is then returned to sender who then contacts Paypal to say "I sent item, he refused to accept, therefore I have no proof of delivery." Paypal tell him that the refund will not be forthcoming as he can't prove delivery. That is the system. I have worked the system from within the framework of the system making them one and the same and as it is my "right" to refuse to sign for the delivery, as I see it, I have not broken the law....or even a rule.
I'm afraid that, as far as ebay is concerned, guile and cunning beats rules and regulations.0 -
I think this thread should be locked.
Its pretty obvious the seller is trying to get out of giving a refund even thlough they have admitted they made the mistake in the first place.
But yes please do give us your seller id so we can make sure we don't buy anything of you.0 -
So you just want to steal the guys money, is that what you are saying?
That is easy just hope he doesn't send it back tracked then you can say you never received the item back and you will win the case. Is that what you want to hear?
Typical attitude in this country just now.0 -

You sound nothing short of a common thief. I hope the buyer plays the system better than you and F%*$s you over. If so please post on here so we can have a good laugh but don't expect any advice. Without going over the thread with a fine tooothed comb, I can recall 3 times mentioning that the buyer will get a full refund, including the non obligatory return postage. Please point out where I state my intention is to "get out" of offering said refund. So you just want to steal the guys money, is that what you are saying?

What makes you think I intend to steal this guy's money?
I know the rules and regs when a parcel is returned untracked....that is why I never asked that question. I wanted to hear a straight answer to the question posed. I now know the answer thanks to the PM system.Chippy_Minton wrote: »You sound nothing short of a common thief. I hope the buyer plays the system better than you and F%*$s you over. I've dumbed down enough replying to Nexo and Hintza. I have to draw the line somewhere so I'm afraid Chippo, I can only leave you with this little puzzler. I said (and you quoted me) "I'm afraid that, as far as ebay is concerned, guile and cunning beats rules and regulations." The word 'afraid' in that sentence........does that tell you I think guile and cunning beating rules and regulations is a good thing or a bad thing?0 -
