  • And breathe SH - lol

Lovely to see you back hun, glad to hear the new job is going well, everything (yes everything ;)) is crossed for the final stage.

So far I have sent my CV to a contact and to a big consultancy organisation, I have applied (very hurredly unfortunately) for a job, lined up something I might be able to apply for in october, set up a few meetings with contacts and scheduled in a conversation with a very useful ex colleage and got the details of a head hunter that has been given my name (yes, I know they are meant to come to you, it is a long story) and found the other job that sounds really exciting. Watch this space.

Phew, I have done more than I thought, I just wish the stuff I was waiting for was happening next week so that I knew how much more effort i need to put in, am having to assume hell for leather at the moment (I am planning on taking my lead from you SH, you have been so motivated and kept on at it, I think of you whenever I am feeling lazy to give me a kick up the bum)

PAID - I find you have to put a lot of effort in to get a job at the level we want... even if you find the right job - and in the end they want you - it could take 3-4 months to exhaust their recruitment process! It can be disheartening but you can't afford to let it be if you know what I mean.

I would also go and physically see 3-4 agencies you would be happy to work with so they have an uptodate picture in their minds of how fantastically professional and smart you are ;) They will then put you forward above people they haven't met....

I had almost given up effort wise to find a job - when I got a call re the temp job I am doing now - that was from having my cv searchable on Total Jobs and Monster ( I used a googlemail address I set up for the purpose and my mobile number but stripped out my address). The perm job I think I applied for but it was months ago now....

Best of luck - hope your last few weeks/months where you are are okay...

You don't drag the thread down CAFC. Look at me moaning about vomiting in bushes last night! Will go and have a look at your thread.

Starnac - I would secretly love a little girl but everyone is saying boy so that's why I am thinking it is a boy! I will be happy with whatever comes along though, as that is what is meant to be!

SavingH - does the temp job involve working away from home, or were you just training somewhere away from home?
