    well i have 3 credit cards and 2 loans still to pay but am going to clear my cards 1st then transfer the remaining of the loan to the cards due to smaller interest thats my plan. Fingers crossed i can knock £6k off my total by xmas this yr.

    6K by Xmas would be a brilliant achievement. This thread will help you stay motivated. There are a great bunch of people on here!

    good luck and welcome to the challenge fairmorn. 6k by christmas would be fantastic. it can be done as i've paid off just over £4k since january. i'm hoping to make £6k by september.

    how is everyone on this slightly drizzly friday?? start of the weekend for everyone except me who is back in work tonight after my "weekend" during the week! hands up who loves shift work............... *tumbleweed* ................anyone??

    Wow, you all doing really well on your paying debts off. I need another job or something to pay that much off. I'd be debt free in a year...

    No thanks to shift work, when I used to do it, I didn't have much of a life. Never going back to that. What do you do starnac?

    hiya guys i have just paid off my vanquis credit card and am not sure if should cancel it or just give the card to my OH to keep safe to stop me spending on it cause at least i will get the green zero's on my credit file :). payment of £250 made

    I'd cancel it and cut it up. Is it your only cc? Do you need a back up cc for emergencies?
