Hi Hun,
Yes we're including your regular/minimum payments and then any overpayments made.
Well done, thats some really great payments.
Are you likely to have more vets bills?
If you're really after stuff from amazon, you could sign up to dooyoo.
Its an online review site and it gives you "miles" for reviews and ratings, 10k miles equals a £10 voucher on amazon.. So books for free essentially.
You can review literally anything you like.
I've been on it for about 2 weeks well since the challenge started and I've got 13k miles so far, and am trying really hard to resist cashing it in.
Just been to Asda with DH to get some top up food bits and stuff for his lunches, and maybe im being cruel and heartless or maybe its because I pay for all the food shopping but he just spends so much money on crap and stood there in the middle of the aisle going on about how he was "not going to take just one chocolate bar to work with his lunch", and he had such a look in his eye and now its really got to me.
Spent £15.22 and it didnt need to be that much at all but he just wears me down!
Rant over now I promise LOL xxWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Congrats Buffy. On the paperhat challenge how much have you now paid off as I'm not sure from your sig?

savingholmes wrote: »Well it will help a lot when you OH is working again. I supported my OH thro college for 3 years - not easy is it. Our debt just went up and up but luckily so did our house value... now the property market is getting its own back. I look it at tho to some degree as sheer luck we have any equity as recently we've only done interest only mortgages!!!! Until the recent price crash I was really proud and pleased that we owned a 25% stake in our house... now that's dropped substantially  which is okay as long as we stay here (but we were/are considering moving -this might kibosh that completely).
The mortgage is affordable just (it went up £70  a month this year) and will be fine once we've cleared our other debts. Debt repayments are more than 1.5 times our mortgage payments altho most of that is optional not the minimum payments. Effectively that's why I'm stoozing as if you default on a card or other payment you get no credit for having been a model citizen prior to that so I'd rather have some form of savings to cover the minimum payments at least for a while... I'm still over-paying on one card as I need the satisfaction of seeing the £19+K come down too... the stoozing figure by itself is not enough for me...
At least food and petrol prices have started to come down again... it has all got to help...
Hiya,
Yeah it is quite hard living on one wage and paying off debt as well. In one way I am delighted that OH went back and is doing something he loves (music) but in another way I can't wait for him to finish in June/July so we can pay off our debts and save a bit, book a nice holiday etc!
We also had a 30% stake in our flat but I am afraid what that is now and don't want to look eitherYour right, the property market is definitely getting its own back.

Sorry just my standard monthy payments but with them every month you can see I'm close to £13500 by this time next year. Hopefully over the year I'll save a bit more money and at least get the cc paid off.'Proud to be dealing with my debts'20p savers= £158.00 :T DFW Nerd #1061Nectar points 3514 Boots Ad Card £21.3031/01/10 Loan 1 = £6058, Loan 2 = £8896, Caravan Loan = £12980, HSBC CC = £0 :j Car = £0 :j, Loan 3 = £2490, Overdraft = £0 :j0
