Happy Birthday for tomorrow, are you doing anything nice? I am going to be 40 in February - they say life begins at 40 so here's hoping!!!

You are doing well so far, I'm still at £60, will be paying more off next week although not a lot more, just sitting here trying to work things out again.

    Have a good day.

TMD - as long as you are doing what you can that's all you can do

Compared to hypno I'm not doing great either.... no point comparing yourself to others...

  • Got my Nationwide statement in, paid £10 off via internet banking.

Going to ring up Lloyds and see if I can get a better deal on balance transfers (worth a try).

    EVENING!!

I missed like a whole page with the weekend antics.

Sounds like everyone has been doing really well. I'm well impressed. I paid £60 off my Abbey card today so thats another update of the old siggy!

TMD from my maths, it does seem a pretty good deal if you transferred the debt. Unless there is some chance you'd be able to pay it off before the current offer runs out, plus transferring it (even with the BT fee) would give you more breathing space in the long run. Would you have enough spare though to cover the minimum payment and the BT fee next month(I think the BT fee is paid in one go on your first statement).... could be wrong with that one though.

Spent some money today.... on candles.... yankee ones to be exact. Did get 25% off them though, but again didnt need them but had a very emotional day yesterday and the today found out my job is still on the line (why I then decide to SPEND money I dont know) but...... it actually has made me more determined to control this Xmas greatly.

Im a very emotional shopper and also an over-generous person at Christmas,, now this yr DH and I have agreed to tell our respective families that we wont be buying gifts but that we also dont expect any. So that way we wont increase our debt, and can concentrate on our own situation instead of buying cr&p for people that they dont need or want.... just need to tell people now LOL

Hi CAFC dipped into a few pages of your other diary yesterday. Hope things improve for you soon. I didn't like the group hug symbol so hope that smiley does the trick!

I won £55 :j :j :j today on a free bet on a site I only joined through a cashback site that gave me more than my stake back. I bet £10 for Liverpool to win then got a £20 free bet so thought I'll place £20 on Tottenham to win and that way as long as they didn't draw I'd get paid out. Strategy worked! OH pleased about the money but morally concerned re gambling... I don't see it as gambling as my own money wasn't at risk! Anyway they are sending me a cheque so next week I should be able to stooze another £55 which would be good! I'm going to wait until the cheque has arrived tho!

a big fat Happy Birthday to MillieMonster, who is doing a stonking job on the challenge, well done xx Hope you have a great day...

We'll be off to Asda today and Im really hoping to reign in some control over the food shop.
Not do anything to make money/pay down the debts today, and I cant think of what to do really. Am still waiting for 2 of our large debt repayments to clear from the bank. And then hopefully I'll be able to make a £100 overpayment to my IF credit card when all those have cleared.
Up to 13k in dooyoo miles but still not caught up on my reviews... really must get up the motivation and avoid the temptation to cash it in for £10 on amazon and just spend it on something I dont really need.....

Hope everyone is having a good weekend

  • right, not sure this is right exactly, Are we counting regular payments?

    cos if not ignore this

    loan paid - 448
    cc - 500
tescos which crept up on me due to vets fees - 365

I am now skint. I have made myself a new budget you see, of 200 pounds spending money a month (prep for the 4000 a year challenge) including travel.

more vet bills could be a problem. and I really want to buy some books from Amazon.

I won't count the tesco's bill, the other two are my regular payments.

I couldn't do any of this without my second job I am so glad I like it. its killing me!

    xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
