My M&D bought me a pair of light weight binoculars supposedly to use when out and about but they're fab for spying from my fourth floor flat

The ambulance left quickly so hope no one was hurt and raced away. Still police talking to and transfering some ne'er do wells into cars

lol - loving the ne'er do wells, not heard that for years.

I want some binoculars, waas thinking of asking for some for my birthday from my parents. I tell myself they are for taking walking, I suspect they will be used for checking what is going on in my area, checking trains and traffic, that sort of thing

Shelley, could you post details about your binoculars, I may go and try a few pairs out and see if they suit me and am very interested in recommendations, I only want a little light pair that I can pop into my carrying vessel (see I didn't use the word, I have been VERY well behaved today)

Don't think they're exactly the same as these but very similar and same make.

I do have a bigger more fancy set but just not as easy to carry around especially if I'm walking a fair distance and already weighed down by water / camera etc

  • Cheers my dear, they look like just what I am looking for, I may head to Jessops to have a play with a few pairs (and then hunt down the cheapest stockist :D see I am MSE)

I am just after a pair for when I am on holiday and stuff so simple and straightforward and light are perfect.
