Sorry to hear you don't like the bag in real life. I love that you can take back to the shop though!
Have a facebook confession ... I did register ages ago but rarely go on there. Actually got an email last week from them saying you've no been on for ages! Will have to hunt it out. I think I'm just on in my real name if so I'll pm you both although it may not be wise if she's going to get us there too PAID :rotfl:Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

Instead we could buy lots of different ones and pass them round the Paper Hat gang so it looks like we get a new bag every few months :jLooking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

Ah yes, but although I have never done anything bad to a bag ever, I just know that if I borrowed one I would get nail varnish on it or something£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Hi - I don't get the attraction to such expensive handbags - just don't do it!
My most expensive bag ever... £35!
Glad you can take the bag back paid....
By the way on the bag theme - on a Spendaholics programme I think they showed that you could join a bag rental club.... that way you could indulge your passion for bags, have variety but not be stuck with such large bills.. may be worth looking into if you are a bag fanatic!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I looked into that before, to be honest I think it ends up more expensive in the long run.
I buy an expensive bag that I will use every day, other bags that I own for 'occasions'are cheap and cheerful so the last one I go was £235 (I think, although I got it in Italy and that saved me £70-80 from the price in the UK) and I used it every day for two years. The bag is still in excellent condition with the exception of the zip. Annoyingly if I had decided to sort out the zip when it first started going iffy then it would have been repaired for free by the company that made it (including shipping it to Italy to be repaired by the same people that made it) I am looking into having it repaired but there are some bits on it that are specific to the company that made it so I don't know whether another repairer will be able to reuse or replicate the hardware.
When my OH was *surprised* at how much I spent on my last main bag I compared it to Sky Sports which he couldn't imagine living without. I love my handbag so I really will spend many, many days and hours looking for the right one (I have clocked up about 50 hours of research so far).
Although, yes we probably should not encourage one another:o
