thats probably whats doing it to me.....
There was a "suggestion" that I get some new work clothes which stung a bit!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Fair enoughski! It is very good you are still in a job and if you are getting a cost of living rise in the current climate then that is above average!;) So it's not all bad!clearmydebts wrote: »Thanks SavingH,
That is good info but really don't think I would get it at the moment because I work in the voluntary sector and my organisation are laying off people so money is tight. I am getting the cost of living increase but when my contract is up I will defo be re-negotiating an increase. At the time I really needed a job, but I do love it so not all bad!
CAFCgirl - hope you have a lovely weekend. Being in debt does bring its own pressures but how amazing it will feel once we are free of it!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

clearmydebts wrote: »That's a bit off. Who 'suggested' you got new work clothes?
well admittedly it wasnt my boss....
I was talking to the admin dept and someone said well you do always look smart but I would suggest you get some "newer" work clothes...
So my translation of that is that she thinks what I wear is fine, its just a bit tired...
although in all honesty she always looks a mess so I dont think I'll take her advice.
I was going to ask my boss but until he actually mentions it to me directly, Im going to ignore her....:rotfl:Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

What a b****. Don't mind her, sounds like she is being a bit of an !!!. If your boss had a problem then I'm sure he would mention it to you so don't worry. And if he does say something ask him if there is a clothing allowance or can you get a raise to keep up with the buying of 'newer' clothes!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi CAFCgirl - sorry you've been the victim of snide remarks at work. I had that a couple of years ago about my hair and stuff like that.... Sometimes it is about them not you. Sometimes you just need to splash out £3 on a new top LOL! Anyway - don't let them get you down!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
