Hi all - still no new job or even interviews! And my aunt has been given days to live.... not a good week so far!

Did get our combined gas and elec bill tho - they owe US £356. They have suggested a new payment amount which is £26 a month less but without refunding what they owe us.... I am wondering about asking for the credit back OR a payment holiday for 3 months and then the reduced rate.... It shows the shivering we did in the autumn and early part of winter was worth it LOL! :j Otherwise I think we will still end up with them owing us £300+ at the end of next year - why should they have my money all that time!

Unfortunately this month I need to pay the £275 for my August holiday - (we can reclaim it after the holiday) and I also need to pay my car insurance - the quote is roughly for what we are owed by the utility companies!

One of my interviews paid mileage - so waiting for that to come back £96! and I will have some other work expenses to pay out tomorrow - probably another £50!

I have been offered one of those presentations where they give you £50 for attending with your partner - need to strong arm OH into coming - need to confirm!

Sorry for the whinge but feeling carp today!

  • Just made an extra, mid-month payment of £100 using some money I'd saved for gym membership. I'll have to rely on the great outdoors to get fit instead. So that's upped my total a little.
  • Savingholmes, I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. I hope your family is coping. x
